I sympathise with Adal - the phrase "let's go" is something I've become more and more aware of over the last couple years, and it's both incomprehensible and inescapable. I think it is a gaming thing, for sure (since that's the community I've heard it most from), but I couldn't speak to its origins. I also want to put up Mara Wilson for well known child actors (Matilda, especially), though I do think more people would be familiar with Macaulay Culkin by name.

The aaaaaabsolute hands down best performance by a child I have EVER seen was Quvenzhané Wallis in Beasts of the Southern Wild. First, she was flippin 5 years old when she got the role. And second, she wasn't just, like, a support or part of an ensemble cast or anything. The focus of the entire film is intensely directly on her. And she's just... UGH so damn good! I don't have the vocabulary to describe it. But even if you might find the movie itself boring or whatever (it's a slow burn drama), I urge everyone to give it a go just to watch her performance.
