This episode does eventually turn into 3 adults making fun of highschoolers

Lio Glenn

‘Saving the world, one can of cold Spaghetti-O’s at a time’ - my cousin

(Pirate King) Darrin

Lol I graduated hs in 2014 and teachers pets were just the most popular kids My quote was "momentai" from digimon tamers and I have zero regrets

Lady Tano

I would like to amend Erin's quote to: "There will be a last time to go into a bouncy house...until you have to go in one to drag your kid out."

Lydia Nimke

Back in 2010 my senior quote was “I’m so happy, cause today I found my friends. They’re in my head.” - Kurt Cobain. I was a very happy child with lots of friends who wasn’t depressed at all 🤡

Savin4051

I still love my senior quote, mine was "My best friend is like the kid from the Adam Project..." and her's was "... sarcastic and asthmatic."

saltywalty

Never had one, so here’s what I would do now: “it’s a restroom, not a rushroom”

Zak

I won the best artist superlative and my quote was “Fly, you fools!”-Gandalf the Grey

Klompus Smith

My yearbook quote was from Bill Cipher, “Reality is an illusion, the universe is a hologram, buy gold.”

Jedidiah Ives

My senior quote was: "Goodbye everyone, I'll remember you all in therapy" - Sheldon Plankton

Stexlo

My senior quote: "Be Bert. Be Ernie. Just be." 90% sure it was an SNL or Viva Variety quote or something, but man, did my English teacher love it.

Ben McDade

My senior yearbook quote was: "I have nipples Focker, can you milk me"? I was voted "Most likely to wear hideous sweatshirt".

Zoe Benza

I won most likely to end world hunger so my school really fucked up.

Emily Poirier

To me, Class Clown is a disruptive joker and Sense of Humor is like a funny person who like knows when the jokes are appropriate (time wise). It's an arbitrary distinction but I believe in it. (It's also possible Sense of Humor stands in for Best Laugh, which is what I think we had)

AK ie JetBlackArsonal

“I have no idea where my head was at, but if my heart says I’m sorry, can we leave it at that” -Relient K I remember I thought I had a more meaningful quote, then forgot about it. The deadline closed it and I just chose from the lyrics I was listening to that say.

Lutton

Im Australia and I mean maybe it was just my school but we didn't do quotes for our yearbook but I probably would have chosen a Douglas Adams or Terry Prachett quote

Harper

Turns out my high school has a digital archive of past yearbooks, which is a little frightening. I was sure we didn't have senior quotes, but turns out we had senior "wills". It was like we were dying and willing something to the school! Most people left it blank, but mine was something too earnest about being lonely but actually a cool person, and the fact that I could juggle. On the bright side, I've legally changed my name and no one would match my photo to me now! Superlatives in my yearbook: Best All Around (wtf), Best/Worst Drivers were two categories, Best Personality, and Class Devil/Angel/Clown were 3 separate categories! No one was allowed to win more than 1 superlative.

Logan Duquette

"These pretzels are making me thirsty"

Eli

my senior quote was from a penguinz0 video: "a wise man once said, the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. well I've yet to make that step, but I sure (as fuck) am making some progress" I cut out the swear but honestly I stand by it. school sucked shit and everyday I'm grateful to be outta there

Tinyhumanbrain76

MR MATTHEWS WAS SO GOOD OMG — pls more, the background music was amazing and now i need more drama teacher in my life

Abe Scorsone

my class (and my class only) didn’t get senior quotes in the yearbook because the class above ours put in subtle swear words 🧍🏽 i was voted Most Likely to Invent an Informercial Gadget. we had some weird superlatives

genki_garbage

"While you were still learning how to SPELL YOUR NAME, I was being trained to CONQUER GALAXIES!!!" My friends and I were really into watching bad movies, so mine was a quote from Battlefield Earth (a John Travolta quote, no less!)

doc712@ameritech.net

I had two senior quotes: one was a line from a Patrick Wolf song (either "I want to buy a lighthouse and ride a giraffe on the rocks" or "I want two dogs, two cats, a big kitchen, and a welcome mat", I can't remember which) and one was a quote from Feynman about how philosophy is garbage and useless. Today is my first day as a professor of philosophy.

StrudelHalfBaked

My high school girlfriend and I were next to each other in the yearbook, so we thought we'd do a joint one. Hers: "It's time to see what I can do, to test the limits and break through..." Mine: "No right, no wrong, no rules for me. I'm free!" For those with a life, those are lyrics from Frozen's "Let It Go".

Ronan Friend

"Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are." -Kurt Cobain Yep. I was that kid.

Sherry M

Mine was an uncredited line from uhhhh BBC's Sherlock because I was that kid: "You think it was the cat. It wasn't the cat."

Frederick

My senior quote was “Do you think God stays in heaven because he too lives in fear of what he has created?” which is a quote from Steve Buscemi’s character in Spy Kids 2 lol

Phillipe Bosher

My senior quote was a line from the hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy: “There is an art, or rather, a knack, to flying. The knack lies in learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss.”

Susannah

The Ferris Bueller quote “life moves pretty fast... if you don’t stop and look around once in a while you just might miss it.” Solid sentiment. Unoriginal selection.

shari downs

mine was ‘i reject your reality and substitute my own’ from mythbusters 🤧

Dakota Kipper

My senior quote was "Just because I rock doesn't mean I'm made of stone" from Me, Myself, and Irene. I am... hauntingly proud of it.

Amanda Martyn

"Mrs. Peacock was a man?!" -Clue

Tanisha Ystad

"Goodnight sweet prince" 🤦‍♀️ the big lebowski

yaca yaca

My quote was "I am so clever that sometimes I dont understand a single word of what I am saying" by Oscar Wilde, which feels a little insufferable with hindsight. I was also voted most likely to survive on a desert island!

Lauren Lacy

“If you find yourself lost in the woods, build a house. “Well, I was lost, but now I live here!”” -Mitch Hedberg Torn between no regrets and all regrets with that one

Lyndi Macke

My senior quote was “What you call insanity, I call inspiration.” - Sue Sylvester Glee was a cool global sensation when I submitted the quote and a loathed nightmare by the time the yearbook came out.

Hannah Cohen

My senior quote was “those who don’t believe in magic will never find it”

Hannah Cohen

Also I really want to hear you guys read through these and roast all of us 😅😅

AbeilleAbbie

my school got rid of senior quotes my senior year because they wanted to be “different” and when we asked them to let us have quotes, they doubled down and were really rude about not letting us have them. so yeah, typical high school experience 😅

Cat Gonzales

it was some really bad angsty poetry that I'd written.

Emily Witkowski

Hey Clue Crew, logged on to Patreon to join the conversation and confirm that, YES, being voted "Most Likely to Stay in [Hometown]" does, in fact, SUCK. It also sucks when you're still living there 5-6 years later--WITH your parents. Love and angst from Plainfield, IL.

elliebean

One of those was a depeche mode quote from enjoy the silence? 😅

elliebean

Can’t judge, We submitted three and only one got chosen for each person, mine was ‘dancing, prancing robot’ and nothing feels more awful to me now 😂😂

Jamie Cayer.

i won most talkative superlative lol and my wuote was “sometimes is the people who no one imagines anything of who do the things no one can imagine” 🙄

Rampage Crafts

"nothing's going to get better" -Dr. Seuss

RecsBecs

My great-grandfather was an identical twin. He won most handsome and wittiest boy, and his twin won most intellectual and friendliest. Imagine losing most handsome to your identical twin. (1942, SW Georgia)

Izaac Ladd

My senior quote was “ski bi di boo bop bee di di ski bi di do wop skooo” -my last brain cell

Alec Irwin

My senior yearbook quote was from Fight Club because I was edgy and also it was …many years ago.

A Local Frog

"Winning is every girl's dream, but it's my destiny." - Leslie Knope

Buff Mcnugget

Mine was “I wanna live till I die, no more no less” -Eddie Izzard

LaVidaGouda

That “words are very unnecessary” superlative is a Depeche Mode lyric. I love that person.

Ev Starling

We didn't have senior quotes in high school, but I graduated from law school this year and our "graduation ceremony" was a YouTube video slide show with pictures of of ourselves next to a "message of gratitude" we could submit. Mine was "Golly gee, what a time."

Eddie Stage

My quote,”You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take and I will miss 0% of you in 5 years.” I think I was especially salty that day

logan

my quote was meant to be funny (well, a reference to then popular internet sketch boys briTANicK) but without context it seems sincere which was Not the intention -- "This scene doesn't make it into the final cut of the film."

Brittany Nickerson

"All you need is faith, trust, and a little pixie dust." ...it was a different time

Kourtney

mine was “Always be yourself. Never take yourself too seriously. And beware of advice from experts, pigs and members of Parliament.” by Kermit *the* Frog

Jena

my senior quote was, “can i take a nap now?”

Mark Napuli

I graduated in 2000 and my quote was “ I’ll take a quiet life , a handshake, and some carbon monoxide with no alarms and no surprises”. Radiohead

Todd Chaikin

Couple that should have been 😂

Rin Abedi

My grade all agreed to do quotes from Kanye West (he was big at the time 😓) and although he didn’t age well my quote was pretty harmless; “everything else was taken, so ‘good morning’”

Emilia Russo

I’m still pretty okay with my senior quote which was the Winnie the Pooh quote “If the person you are talking to doesn’t appear to be listening, be patient. It may simply be that he has a small piece of fluff in his ear.”

Zozzleberry Fin

My senior quote (Or, at least, the equivalent we had) was "Is it not true that no two human beings understand anything whatsoever about each other...?" Dazai Osamu - No Longer Human. Because I'm a nerd. I was very upset that there wasn't enough room to do the full quote.

Evy Verschaeve

I’m just getting through the back catalogue, but my senior quote (2020 grad) was “shark week? I think shark strong”
