We decided to slow things down this month and take care of ourselves with the 3 top vote getters in our self-care poll! IN this episode we take a long bath, write a list of the things we love most about ourselves and Marie Kondo our closets! We hope you all are taking care of yourselves and if you are, let us know what works best for you!

Let us also know in the comments if there's anything you'd like to see us put in the poll for March!

Workouts, witchy guided meditations in the woods or even my own backyard, nature walks.

This was timed perfectly, went from Magic Tavern patreon to this!! Cooking time is self care time!!

Adam Kronfeld

Like Erin I also love epson salts, but I always run out of cyan

Review the movie "The House" on Netflix. Weird and has built in animal parade characters.

I really appreciate this episode. I'm in a difficult spot with my home right now and definitely empathize with Adal about how hard it is to get rid of things. I have depression, executive dysfunction, and negative feelings towards cleaning from childhood, and a partner that is a compulsive shopper and also doesn't clean. Hearing these three very different experiences with Konmari has made me realize that it's necessary for me to reframe my thinking! Wish me luck! I'm rooting for you, Adal!

My self care is sitting still with my cats. I may be watching TV or on my phone, but I keep a hand free for pets and I listen to their purrs. I think spending time on the same level as your pet helps too, like sitting on the floor with a dog (after they calm down a little) is so soothing. The easy affection of pets brings so much comfort to me. Pet therapy is a 10/10.

I’m with Erin. Cleaning out closet is least stressful. Preparing a bath is stressful enough to put it in the middle which is why I hate baths. The list would be very stressful. Although I could never Marie Kondo my closet probably because then I would be left with no clothes lol

This episode was exactly what I needed today, I appreciate and feel validated by all of the experiences and advice that were shared! It was also validating to hear about other adults who like to take baths and it has inspired me to take baths more regularly and treat myself to some new products (the bath pillow and drain blocker? genius!). One thing I've started to do recently is allow myself to relisten to my favorite episodes of my favorite podcasts rather than feel pressured to always be looking for new content - there is nothing wrong with revisiting the same shows and episodes if it's what I need in the moment!

Erin’s list made me cry. Love that she she advocates to be heard, and lets herself be proud of herself. The fact that it’s balanced with such empathy is great, but what I really needed to hear was that her favorite trait was being un ambitious. It’s wonderful that she is so joyful, while not being worried about the rat race, and I needed that message exactly when I heard it. I’ve been spinning my wheels, not really knowing which gear to ride, and I don’t WANT to be ambitious! I mean, I do, but I want to allow myself to stay at the happy medium I am now, and remember I have nothing to prove, if I’m happy. It’s ok to go slow. Loved the insights that everyone shared, JPC, you DO stand up for your politics! I love that part of you! Adal, it IS hard to throw things away! I love having friends over after I’ve cleaned out a room and just let them take anything they love and need. Easy way to do holiday gifts, and then it’s their gift to you, that they’re helping you clean!

Thank you for this wonderful episode! Really made my day. Especially Erin’s list, thank you for reading it and certainly be proud of who you are and helping others do that as well.

erin is a vulnerable angel sent from heaven and we don't deserve her

Dakota Harley

All the vulnerability in this episode was extremely touching and wonderful to hear, I feel bad the lists were so stressful but I hope there was something gained from making them. Erin's was very thoughtful and well stated, definitely the highlight of the episode for me.

Erin is literally the sweetest

This episode truly touched my heart. Self care can truly be like pulling teeth for me sometimes but you guys have inspired me to keep on keeping on. Erin I'm gonna try that ice cube and eye mask thing it sounds like it might help!

Julian Johnson

This was super good. I took a lot more from this than I thought I would. Thanks for making it!

Adal, I was listening to ep 77 today (from january 2020) and you said one of your goals for the year was to get rid of a bunch of stuff, and you suggested a 'hey rummage rummage' sale! just floating that back up into your brain in case you actually give away stuff at live shows :)

This was so lovely to listen to and made me feel very relaxed and happy. I really needed that after a stressful couple of weeks, so thank you! Well done Erin for sharing your list. We definitely need more women sharing what they're proud of!

Cassandra Ichniowski

This episode was a salve in difficult times. Thank you for the vulnerability - there was so much to connect with across all three of you. Erin, I also work very hard on central nervous system regulation. It is constant maintenance, but so essential. Yoga, meditation, baths, and weighted blankets, semi-regular massages all help a lot - little rituals for just me - but I recently tried sound baths and that was truuuuly incredible. Never in my life found it easier to be present and creative and exploratory while quiet and by myself. Much harder to do often and at home, but strongly recommend. On the opposite end, I really want to try a rage room to get a huge release of the stress buildup from constant fight or flight state.

This was a great RC episode, thank you all! Plenty of hilarity AND insight, and I think an episode like this truly shows the depth of what a RC episode could be. I really like that it can be a Princess Switch review podcast as well a lovely one like this episode. It's awesome to have it all!

Celeste N Nigro

Adult coloring books, candles on the edge of the bathtub while listening to fleet foxes, marijuana, tea, and sometimes animal crossing. 🖤 Also, very happy that Adal quoted some Mariah Carey in this ep. 🖤

Perri McGowan

Erin’s list though. Made me cry. So insightful and specific, introspective and kind. It’s so hard to think about what I like about myself sometimes, hearing someone else’s hard-won list is very wonderful.

vess sanders

this episode was wonderful. I would kill for one of adal's shirts :))

Hoo boy, the stuff about bathtubs not being made for people taller than 6 feet is true. One of my "stuff I'd get if I won the lottery" dreams is an enormous bathtub so I don't have to pick between keeping my legs or my entire upper half out of the water at any given time.

This inspired me to take a bath vs taking a shower like I always do and it was so weird but relaxing
