Adal — our cat basically lives in EPCOT. We’ve got her automated everything. But gosh the litter box is the best. The one we got also has a companion app that tracks when she does her business (which is pretty nice for vet visits).

I have a litterRobot i got from a friend’s rich parents and, unfortunately, I love it. The instructions won’t tell you this, it works better with specific cat litters. Worlds best cat litter has worked the best with the robot, plus you might be able to flush it (but like also as a former wastewater operator please just put it in the trash). Opening the collection bin is pretty awful. I have two 17 pound cats, just larger varietals, not fat, and they manage to fill it up every 3-4 days. Much better in my book. Hope this helps! Adal, I just got this Purina Tidy Cats Breeze XL Cat Litter Box System (got the XL size because our cats are big and also need the high walls. You can get smaller sizes of boxes if your cats aren’t dumb and pee outside the box when sitting in it) but instead of using their pellets it comes with you use Pine Pellet Bedding you would get at a Farm Supply store or something similar. It’s cheaper than the Feline Pine bags. And Amazon has a basic version of the pee pads for cheaper than Purina. The pee combines with the pine and turns to pine dust at the bottom section and the pads also help absorb any excess liquid. So basically you just have to scoop out the poop and once a week or more if needed clean out the pee tray at the bottom. Cleaning the cat litter is one of my least favorite things but this has helped with cleaning it up less and with less smell (at least for urine smell). This is my solution for now since those automatic litter boxes are so spendy. Sorry for the long message! But maybe it will help you take care of your cats and the foster kitties! 😺

There are other litter box sifting systems out there too and using the Pine pellet bedding with them is one of the most common things I’ve seen in the review people say make them soo much better. The clumping clay is not worth it to use with them people said
