The American Taskmaster wasn't very good. There was a super competitive, angry woman as one of the contestants who kinda ruined it. Plus they had Alex Horne but not Greg and the pairing with the American host was kinda uncomfy. JPC if you don't like YT because of the ads or whatever, try using YT ReVanced. Gets rid of all the annoying things about the normal site. Taskmaster is truly worth it.

You absolutely can and should be able to take a bird out of its cage to play, feed, exercise, etc. From what I remember Adal's Parrot was a secondhand bird, so it might have not been properly socialized growing up.

As a fellow Masshole, re: NE state vibes - NH is definitely the redneck state (Live Free or Die, of course). It's a huge libertarian hotspot (there was a town of staunch libertarians who tried to set up a town in NH and it became overrun by bears SO FAST because, you know, libertarians).

Last night while watching Series 9 (with my girl Rose Matafeo) of Taskmaster, I said that the game takes 3 skills "riddles, crafts, comedy" and then I said "The HRR crew would all be good at Taskmaster"... creepy creepy coincidence?

To Adal’s question about cornhole, I live in Tennessee and it seems to be everywhere. At almost every bar/pub restaurant that has an outdoor area has one. Pretty much everyone has one in their garage. And if you live in East Tennessee you probably have a UT Vols themed board and bags. Lol.

Speaking of gameshows - I'd love to see Hey Riddle on Floor is Lava.. they had an improv team on before and I was surprised to learn ordinary improv doesn't normally go down like it does on this podcast!

Birds are the worst. My family is cursed with a parrot we all hate, but was the beloved pet of a loved one. Don’t get me wrong, we’ve treated him with kindness and compassion for decades…and he’s never responded with anything less than (literal) mockery and violence. He’s already in his 30s, but considering parrots can live up to 80, the family has had to accept that this grim, Raven-esque spectre in our midst may well outlive us all and haunt generations to come.

Adal - It really caught me off guard when you jokingly said "Captal of Kansas, does it have one?". I was born and raised in the capital, which is called Topeka. I can't wait for the 5-minute states series episode about my home state 😂 Surprisingly, a large number of my fellow Kansans have moved to the Pacific Northwest. Speaking of, I hope to see a live show announcement for Portland or Seattle sometime next year

The town from Kiki's Delivery Service is somewhat based on Stockholm, especially the old town. Some buildings are recognizable, and all the signs are in Swedish.

Wow, you guys painting the scene of the ball pit changed my entire life. I legit was always picturing your average ball pit with lots of colorful balls, I had no idea it was so spooky in there!! I guess I never really thought too hard about how weird it would be if it was *not* spooky.

There is a hilarious book that I think Erin would really enjoy. It's called "Nothing To See Here" by Kevin Wilson. It's very witty and funny and weird, and a lot of the characters in the book remind me of characters that Erin has played, so I think that she would like it. Definitely recommend!

On the topic of parrots as pets, I wanted to share with the HRR crew a picture of my best bird, Charli. He was an 11yo budgerigar with feet issues, so he lived in a mouse cage and was carried around on people's palms like the king he was. He was very gentle and sweet. https://imgur.io/dXNgyzW?r
