The fact that I shut down my PS5 from playing BG3 and played this makes me very happy. I can’t say 250 hrs but probably 30-40 across a few characters. Enjoying paladin and Warlock for sure. Will hands down win game of the year

Daniel Kubank

Currently sitting a 5503hours on rocket league.... 8 years of playing 😅 Met my 4 best mates on there, from all around Australia. We finally met up irl for my 30th last year and all went skydiving! I reckon it was worth all those hours to find a couple fair dinkum mates!

also for Sean, if you beat Raphael in the House of Hope (look for Helsik in Act III) you can long rest for free at the fountain of restoration

Chad Payne

112 hours myself, only half way through act 3.

Meaghan

I swear I heard that almost exact scenario about the rent recently... am I crazy???

David Currie

Not being funny but if you're renting somewhere nice and it's cheaper. I get they feel bad they lied but you're renting in their home they can charge whatever. It's easier to say half than you're paying the mortgage and half bills. If it's a good deal then I'd suck it up. If you complain you're most likely getting asked to leave

Brad Simmerman

Re rent, the owner could totally have a second mortgage with a different bank or a second loan, not sure this helps anyone by posting but couldn’t not say something.

Heidi Nehls

Exactly. Came here to say this as well. I’m a tax admin and see mortgage interest statements all the time and lots of people have 2+ for the same property.

William the Muslim Duck may just be the newest S-tier Adal character

Laurel

Also, seems possible that they might pay property tax and home insurance separately -- which many people lump in when talking about their mortgage payment.

Honestly don't understand the first moral dilemma. Why would anyone but the brother pay for his own bad driving? Were they telling him to speed? If I was the driver in that situation I wouldn't even consider someone else paying the ticket for me?

Freya Bee

In my family, the act of pulling the waiter aside ahead of time to pay for the meal yourself is named after my grandpa's alter ego, Big Steve. My grandpa's name was not Steve. But man did he like to pay for other people's dinner.

Hope

Exactly! Favor or not, he made the choice to speed

There is no way our banking system would give your landlord a sweet deal. If this is a nice spacious apartment in a good neighborhood it was fully paid for by someone at some point. Talk to the owner honestly and ask if they are willing to share their full financial story with the apartment, it might help you if you are ever in a position to buy in the future. Based on their being nice and giving you a good deal on the rent compared to similar apartments, don't jump to assuming they are the bad guy. The 1% relies on the 99% fighting with each other. Keep it cool.

David Mruk

For the paying the mortgage dilemma, it's pretty standard practice if you own a duplex to charge most of if not all of the mortgage payment to your tenants. It's "justified" because you are supposed to be a legal landlord and have to maintain property conditions and appliances like furnaces/toilets/fridges. The informal agreement and the lies kinda throw a wrench in this, but if you ever rented a duplex apt. and lived with the owner this was happening to you. At least in my housing market.

Miles M.

I like these a lot!

A Local Frog

That's the reality of being a tenant. Your rent covers the owner's mortgage, even if you're living in a highrise apartment. I also highly doubt in an area where a $700 room is cheap/reasonable that their whole mortgage payment is $700/month. Unless they bought the house YEARS ago.

We really need a full Baldur's Gate 3 patreon show

This is one of my favorite intros to listen to. It's such a joy to hear them laughing as JPC roasts Sean.

Kevin Martin

I like the AITA (am I the asshole?) subreddit it’s more juicy than moral dilemmas. I think I recall JPC saying that he felt like he reached the bottom of the barrel on the latter🍿🥤

Nicholas Coulombe

This is One of my favorite episodes! P.S. I have over 400hrs in Baulders Gate 3

The one about the Mortgage reminded me of when I had an apartment and paid half rent, and charged two roommates a quarter. One of those roommates moved his gf and dog in, and we assumed they split his quarter. Found out years later that she was paying his quarter cause he told her he was paying Half of the whole rent. And that they were spliting that.

Also I'm at almost 800 hours in bg3
