Good evening riddlers

Sue

Well the first 4 minutes of this is delightful so far! Erin singing Les Mis AND Newsies!? This episode was made for me!

Sue

Going off on women's healthcare? Is it my birthday?? I love you Erin! 💗

Callmekade

Actually I used to HAVE a coloring Bible when I grew up in a Christian house! They are REAL! I’d use them for journaling and put quotes on top of the pages.

Bex Hex

I love Erin going on about Newsies. That movie was a big part of my childhood and it seemed like as an adult only my Mormon friends has seen it because usually they were watching lots of Disney movies lol

pinocchio actually might be in my top five fav disney movies and at least my top 100 all time (i don’t like movies that much)

I never knew what women had to go through at a doctor’s office until I watched an episode of Letterkenny where they go into excruciating detail… and it sounds like hell

Anna Collins

My new favorite listening experience is trying to guess how sleep deprived JPC is on any given recording as a recent father

Esme Singer

They have coloring bibles! I had a Hebrew Bible coloring book when I was a kid in Hebrew school

I NEED JPC BIBLE IN MY VEINS

For Adal, a brief history of the Alamo: In the summer of 1964, an American secret agent codenamed "Naked Snake" was sent into the USSR to recover a rocket scientist by the name of Nikolai Sokolov. Naked Snake's first go at that rescue didn't end so well, in fact most of his bones were broken and he took several bullets before dropping into a river because his old boss "Big Boss" betrayed him to join a motley gang of superpowered and emotion-themed soviet assassins. And then a nuclear bomb was dropped right next to where Naked Snake washed up, which was nearly enough to make him consider giving up and going to a hospital. But instead he patches himself up and immediately cuts a path of revenge through several inexplicably superpowered beings, including a bee man and pyromaniac astronaut. And the ghosts of everyone he'd ever killed. Which isn't really relevant to the Alamo. But that bomb from earlier, the nuclear one was delivered by way of a Davy Crockett missile launcher. And because the inexplicably electricity-generating colonel who fired this missile happened to be somewhat familiar with Davy Crockett's history (or at least that he died at the Alamo). He thought it would be funny to shout "remember the Alamo!" Right before firing the missile. And that's why the phrase is still said today. One assumes.

We would indeed love a jpc bible. Suddenly realizing how not immune to a cult id be

Rooster Obstruction

Eccentric billionaire JPC's version of Jurassic Park is just Old Corn Buffet

joel

always knew the C in JPC stood for Cult

joel

definitely was in my elementary school rotation for "movies the teacher puts on when they don't have a lesson plan"

Erin, Jacob Geller recently put out a super interesting video essay about Pinocchio re-tellings and how they're way more common/there's a lot more meat on the bones of the source material than you'd think - it was super interesting! Highly recommend if you have a spare 40 minutes and need something to occupy your mind

“It a-make-a a mess” killed me

Glad I’m not the only one who felt that way when the kid ate on Dexter… and they kept putting those scenes in

Can the knock knock tiramisu hoodie and the JPC Bible come in a set?

(Pirate King) Darrin

I broke out in sweat, got dizzy, almost passed out, and had pain so badly for a few months after getting my iud in 🙃 why is this normal

Esther Brayton

Oh wow. I was just feeling bad the rest of the day. I've sat through biopsies without meds and a tattoo without making a sound. IUD had me yell out and involuntarily scootch back. I had had a baby Valium and it didn't do shit.

Why does it suprise anyone that asking your hooha to accept and integrate a foreign body for purposes of preventing it's natural processes has the potential to not go swimmingly and/or painlessly.....

The convenient divorce law was useful for a lot of women who famously would go to Nevada to be able to obtain a divorce when it was impossible to find legal grounds for a divorce in their home state. The law made it so that you only had to live in Nevada for 6 months, not 12, to establish residency and be able to use the divorce law. There were towns where lots of married women would live and just wait out the 6 months. If I remember correctly, I think it was hinted that Betty Draper used this law in Mad Men.

Convenient divorce just means no waiting period, and you only need to state you are incompatible. Both parties still need to agree on property, children, etc.
