Chapter 88: Helping Kei Karuizawa Overcome Her Inner Demons (Patreon)

Day after day, the swimming class, which was supposed to be only one period, inevitably ran over under Daniel's influence.

By the time Class D's girls filed out of the pool in twos and threes, flushed and a little worn out, it was nearly afternoon.

On the way, they were still discussing what had just happened in low voices.

"I never expected Matsushita and the others to be that bold."

"No, no, no. If we're talking bold, it's Daniel and Kei Karuizawa, doing it right there in the changing room..."

"Thanks to her, too. Otherwise we wouldn't have gotten to enjoy something this good."

Kushida blew up on the spot. She already hated what Daniel had been doing, so being asked a question like that was all it took to set her off.

The girls hurriedly apologized. After all, in their eyes, Kushida Kikyo and Daniel were boyfriend and girlfriend.

Daniel and Kei Karuizawa were the last ones to leave the pool. In his arms he carried Sakura, who had fainted from sheer embarrassment.

"Kei, let's skip the afternoon classes. I'll take Sakura back to the dorm, and then we'll head out for a bit."

Daniel looked down at Kei Karuizawa as he spoke. She did whatever he said, of course, and nodded obediently at once.

Right now, if Daniel wanted to take her out of the school, or even go fight in the Iraq war, she'd follow him and pass him bullets.

That was just how a loyal dog was.

What's more, Daniel had healed her scars, so her affection for him had long since maxed out.

"Mm-hm. Then let's take Airi-chan back to rest first."

After fighting side by side just now, Kei Karuizawa felt closer to several of the girls. Sakura Airi in particular, who never fought or schemed and had such a soft, gentle personality, was very comfortable to be around.

She had gone straight from love rival to dear sister.

So she saw nothing wrong with taking her back to rest first.

Daniel didn't use his powers. He simply carried Sakura and walked back to his dorm room with Kei Karuizawa.

He laid Sakura on the bed and tucked her in.

Then he stood and took Kei Karuizawa's small hand. "Aren't you going to ask where I'm taking you?"

"Wherever you go, I go." Kei Karuizawa squeezed Daniel's hand and answered in a coquettish voice.

"Just like you. Aren't you afraid I'll sell you?"

Kei Karuizawa smiled and shook her head. "You'd never do that, Yoru. And even if you did, there'd definitely be a reason."

That was how a girl lost in love was. Daniel didn't mind, though. After all, the object of her devotion was himself.

Looking at Kei Karuizawa's shining eyes, Daniel lowered his head and kissed her glistening lips.

She responded eagerly.

After a good while, Daniel let go of the panting Kei Karuizawa, ruffled her hair, and casually spread out his Mental Power Scan.

He meant to find the bullies he had seen through Dreamwalking, the ones who had tormented Kei Karuizawa, and take revenge for her.

But the images from his Mental Power Scan made Daniel's expression turn a little strange.

He had assumed this world only had Classroom of the Elite. But one sweep of his mental power revealed quite a few familiar faces.

Kaguya Shinomiya, Yukino Yukinoshita, Sakiko Togawa, Megumi Kato, and plenty of other heroines of all sorts.

If it were only those, fine. But would somebody please tell me what the hell Genji Heavy Industries is doing in Tokyo, crashing the party?

Are the dragon folk here too?

Unwilling to give up, Daniel examined Genji Heavy Industries more carefully. In one of the rooms, he found a spacey, adorable red-haired girl playing video games.

"Heh. They really are here."

If even Erii Uesugi was here, it couldn't be a coincidence of names. How did a Dragon Raja character end up among a pile of anime girls?

Had it existed from the very beginning, and he just hadn't known?

No wonder Sakiko Togawa's grandfather talked about the darkness of the Togawa family. Was he referring to the Serpent Eight Families?

Well, that really was dark.

Daniel set the matter aside for now. He wouldn't rush to figure out what was going on. Kei's business came first.

"Let's go, Kei. I'm taking you to get your revenge."

Kei Karuizawa froze, not understanding what Daniel meant. But in the next instant, she found herself in a grove of trees behind a school campus.

The sudden change of scenery startled her, but seeing Daniel still beside her, she breathed a sigh of relief.

"Yoru, where is this?"

"This is Sobu High School in Chiba. Come with me."

Daniel only smiled without answering and led Kei Karuizawa deeper into the grove.

As the two drew closer, Kei Karuizawa saw, not far off and half hidden by the trees, a group of flashily dressed girls smoking.

She would never forget those faces as long as she lived.

Kei Karuizawa's body shuddered, and she instinctively ducked behind Daniel.

The gyaru, who had been smoking and chatting, noticed the two approaching. One of them, a blonde, nudged the girls beside her in surprise.

"Isn't that Karuizawa?"

The others turned and saw Kei Karuizawa and Daniel beside her.

"It really is. Is that hottie her boyfriend? Did he come to settle a score?"

"Heh. Think it'd be exciting to play with her boyfriend right in front of her?"

The gyaru's eyes lit up. They straightened up and grinned at Daniel and Kei Karuizawa as they walked over.

"Well, well, if it isn't Karuizawa. When did you become a gyaru? Did you latch onto a hottie with your body and now you think you're something? You bitch—"

Squelch!

Before the blonde could finish, a blade of wind sliced off her chin together with her tongue.

Blood sprayed across her chest and the ground. The agonizing pain made her scream, and she instinctively clutched at her missing jaw, staring at Daniel in terror.

"Your mouth is too filthy. Don't you know trouble comes out of the mouth?"

The others' minds went blank for an instant at the sight, then the instinct of their bodies told them to run, now!

But Daniel only raised a hand and lightly snapped his fingers. The girls felt their bodies lock in place, able only to stare at Daniel with wide, terrified eyes.

"Wh-what did you do to us?!"

"Nothing much. I just made you stand there nicely, so you can experience what Kei went through back then."
