I'm really happy to announce that the first chapter of The Velan Reach is out! Thank you for your support that has enabled me to share it with you now.

The Velan Reach is an adult Visual Novel set in a unique steampunk sci-fi setting, in which you play the role of a humble academic who, together with his lovely assistant, is invited to join a noblewoman's expedition into the unknown and rediscover the long-lost location of the cradle of humanity. But you soon find yourself pulled into a web of intrigue as you get to know the other members of your expedition, each of whom have their own reasons for being there and motivations for interacting with you.

For eligible tiers, you can claim a copy here on Itch.

The Velan Reach is available on Itch and Oppaiman, and coming soon to Steam.

Direct download links and release notes for 0.1.4 can be found here.

Just finished playing chapter 1, and I love to say that this is fantastic! I loved everything: the environment, the characters, the story, everything. You've done a terrific work, and for me, it's a great upgrade from an already wonderful novel as Light of my Life. Thank you and congratulations!

Naughty Road

Cheers! I'm really happy you're enjoying this.

Rich Spencer

Congratulations! I'm looking forward to continuing from where the beta left off 😀

Troz

Congratulations! Looking forward to playing it. A question: I realise that itch.io takes less of a cut than Steam, but I was thinking that in the big picture it might be better for me to buy it on Steam because success there might mean that is where the bulk of your sales might be expected, and also because it allows me to leave a review. Do you have a preference?

Just finished Chapter 1 and wow it's way better than I expected, and I was expecting a gem! Not sure how you made a girl (the assistant) hotter than Denise but you did. P.S. the pancake nipples are GOATED.

Played it and gotta say you're still pretty much my favourite amongst the different types of adult game creators. Your characters always feel like real people with real goals, personalities, and clear differences marked by differences in their tones, vocabulary, delivery, reactions, etc. And the visuals are lovely. This chapter 1 is a real treat. Can't wait to get to know these ladies more and ride with them through the adventures to come.

Naughty Road

Cheers, really happy to hear you enjoyed it.

Naughty Road

Cheers, I'm really happy you liked her! Plenty more to come.

Naughty Road

Cheers. It's true, Steam has an algorithm, but on Itch, adult games are pretty much invisible after the payment provider tussle. Wishlisting on Steam is what helps the most right now in terms of ensuring visibility, once I hit a magic number there a release will be much more visible. And then a day one sale helps push the algorithm even more.

Troz

Well I've already wishlisted it, so I can't do it again. But I'll forego the itch.io discount and buy it on Steam (if it comes out soon). That way I can review it there as well.

Bob

Wow Naughty, I was blown away from the get go. that beautiful haunting music made me just want to listen to it over and over but I eventually hit the start button. Again as I have stated before, You really know how to get it on with gaming. I still play LoML over and over. I really didn't think you couldn't top LoML but now I'm humbled that you have. Keep up the brilliant work mate, you have made me a believer again. Waiting with bated breath for the next episode of TVR. 10/10

Naughty Road

Thank you Bob! So good to hear you liked it. It's pretty nerve-racking putting something new out there, but I'm really happy to hear it's hitting the right notes.

Fuzail

Fantastic start! Beautiful music, compelling story, and most of all, likeable and interesting characters. Look super forward to the next chapter.

Fuzail

Also, Ms. Summersby has a nice butt 🤣

Naughty Road

Heehee, yeah, she's got plenty of bass going on. So happy to hear you enjoyed it!

Troz

Starting to get impatient, tempted go with itch.io anyway! Do you have any sense of when the Steam release will be?

just played the first chapter and I'm excited for its future felt a little to short but it hit hard enough ur games are one of the only games i actually take my time to read. been a follower since the start of c1 of Loml and dnt regret it at all hope u keep up the good work its rare thhs days to see a dev stay and keep deliverin the way u do dnt chng keep up the good wrk.

Esteban Rosario

question Loml will s2 be its last song or do u think u might coninue it along side Tov dont get me wrong dnt want to put any pressur on u or anything just want to gauge whhere its headed and if i shld steal my heart for its eventual end? but loving everything uv been doing and u have my full support on whatever u pln to do in te future.

Naughty Road

Yes, Light of my Life is wrapping up. Chapter 10, that I'm working on now, is the penultimate, and then chapter 11 will wrap things up. I'm sad to see it come to an end, but to be honest, season 2 didn't give it the impulse I'd hoped and so I'm just not diving deeper into the new characters and giving the original cast he endings I'd planned all along. It is a very double feeling because at the same time I am very excited about The Velan Reach, and the things I can do in that setting that I never could in the slice-of-life format of Light of my Life.

Esteban Rosario

thats all good i do art myself so i understand completly thnks for tht confirmation and hope ur future project is recived with open arms just dnt burn urself out and stay safe out thr thhs are trying times.
