Here's the second of three images I made to show off what one might expect from the coming chapters of The Velan Reach, to include in the upcoming Next Fest demo on Steam.

It features Ms. Thani Froslind, who probably has the least opportunity of any in Chapter One to show off what she could be. Alyssa gets a good bit of... exposure. Dame Estrell gets a bit of a jiggle. But Ms. Froslind mostly scowls, and rolls her eyes, and disapproves.

So she gets the most explicit of the coming soon preview images, even if that is not that explicit by any standards. But explicit enough for this one not to be a public post.

I have to say I'm rather pleased with Ms. Thani's expression, even if it did require a fair bit of tweaking to get to the right level of aloof amusement.

And here's the whole thing with some parallax movement (again with apologies for the janky gif conversion).

For the set, I retextured an old art-deco room, using corroded copper and painted metal on the walls and window frame, and I dropped in a bit of machinery, and a 19th century side-table and sink with a neat-looking decorative stained-glass/ceramic bathtub to get that old-fashioned opulence vibe in there that fits the setting. And a frozen world in the background to match Ms. Froslind's frosty demeanor.

Don't forget to wishlist The Velan Reach on Steam.

Cheers. It was nice to give her a little moment to show she's more than just glares and hard angles.

The Velan Reach, just like its cast, is just right down my alley. I love the setting, the style, the characters and the story so far. For the life of me I can't see why you would be struggling to get any kind of serious traction for this game. Hopefully the "Next Fest" Steam release will get it the attention you and the release so well deserve. Here's another thought I had while waiting on the upcoming release of LomL: maybe it would be better to focus more on the new title for now in order to keep people updated quicker, get more of the story out sooner and hence possibly have people notice it more. Strictly looking at myself here: I find a new game I like and not have any serious news or updates I most likely will totally forget about it instead of getting behind it. Especially with the track record of devs abandoning games in the AVN community a LOT of potential supporters will wait early phases of development out to not get burned again. This of course is totally unfair to developers like you but like the saying goes: "fool me once...fool me twice..." And so a lot of promising AVN games and their developers don't get as much support as they really should. If people believe in you and believe in what you are doing along with getting regular updates I feel that this will mostly help you getting the attention and support your work deserves. You might also keep in mind that self-promotion (maybe some nsfw preview or something along the lines) on a certain forum might help to get a bit of attention. And of course cross-promos with other devs with a good record and a solid footing might also get people to notice the Velan Reach. I so love your work and I really hope you will finally see the attention and support you deserve. BTW I loved all of the three previews. Can't wait to get to know all three of them good enough to meet them in style one fine update down the road.

Cheers, and thanks. I am really looking forward to getting into it with all three ladies and the side girls, it'll be a lot of fun. As to what approach to use when developing both titles, it's a fine line to walk. There's challenges with each approach. Going full bore with TVR at the expense of LomL runs the risk that people think I've abandoned LomL and could hurt confidence in backing TVR. Focusing on finishing LomL first and freezing TVR until then means that TVR can't find an audience (and help contribute to finishing LomL) for that much longer. And of course working on both means spreading myself really thin. 😅 It's a gamble either way, and we won't really know until chapter 2 of TVR comes out if it's got what it takes, I guess. But in the mean time I hope to use the release of chapter 10 of LomL to get some more people to give TVR a try.
