This week in one sentence: Week two of production on The Velan Reach chapter 2, and I've got a solid basis up for two scenes now, with a new set created (I'll post a preview later), and writing and rendering underway.

Up next: Announcing the Steam release date for The Velan Reach, and a write up of what to expect from, finishing up these two scenes that are in progress, but first and foremost, that Halloween wallpaper before it's no use anymore; I'm hoping to put that one out this weekend.

Further more, don't forget to wishlist The Velan Reach on Steam.

Is it the worry of the unknown and ab ambitious new project?

Can this game be like an adventure game with a good quality story and lots of npc non sexual interaction, with some great sex scenes here and there, rather than a illogical story but fuckfest only? Low burn story lets say? Just asking : )

Oh yes, I want plenty of room for character development, restrained conversations with plenty to read between the lines and the occasional gasp and clutched pearls (I've been on a bit of a Victorian novel kick on Spotify to find my period voice), and a few exotic places to visit while we're at it. The fun thing about something set in a Victorian setting (or something echoing that) is that everything is taboo, right down to talking about ankles. Although that kinda depends on your social class and who's watching, I suppose. :D

Naughty Road

Oh yeah, that, and more. Will people get it? Will they like it? Will I be able to make it work? But that's stuff I have in my control, so I can work on that. The other stuff (the rapidly changing way these games are made and consumed, the fact that everything has to fit an effing algorithm now and I don't really want to make anything that fits an algorithm), that's all beyond my control, and that bit is really terrifying. :D

Well, if it helps I'm quite impressed by your work so far, from the scope and ambition of the story, to your understanding of human nature, to the humour involved the whole way. Very well done.

I can't wait to see what you have in store for this new journey.
