End of April update (Patreon)

As covid-19 keeps the world in it's grip, I'd like to start out expressing my hope that all are doing well and wishing all of you the best in dealing with this situation. In the greater scheme, a simple visual novel might not seem all that important, but perhaps having something to entertain you and take your mind of things, if only for a few moments, is worth something, and if so, then I hope Light of my Life will contribute a little bit to that.
So, on to the state of Chapter 4: I've just queued up the last planned render for this update, and the work that remains on the story proper now is editing those images, incorporating them in the final scene, and reworking the script to match dialog and images. I'm hoping to have that done, and be able to run through the script a few times for my own quality control, reworking existing dialogs and fixing graphics issues where needed, somewhere during this long weekend we have over here, and bring out a first beta next week.
While the beta is being tested, I'll be wrapping up the final stuff such as getting the gallery and summary updated, as well as fixing issues reported by the proofers.
What that means for timelines is that if all goes well, we could see a beta going out in the next week, and an official early release - to those eligible - the week after. The public release would be the week after that. All of this under the condition that we don't run into a serious quality issue or other unforeseen problem of course. I'll be providing further updates as we go, for now please stay safe and be well.
