Suzy Izzard is THE reason people here in the UK accept trans people; she was working from day one to make some of the worst people you could imagine accept alternative gender identifies and she has never stopped. It's impossible to describe it given the state of our country right now (shite) but especially when she was Eddie she was a national superstar (she still is now don't worry we still adore her) she was the country's top comedy talent. Her honesty, bravery, fight, & talent made the best bits of this country still care about gender and sexuality and the individuality we all bring to each of those things. If anyone reading these cares about gender identity read up on her story and the barriers she broke down in the UK. It's hard to describe because what the mainstream called a "transvestite" was the funniest person in the whole country and no matter what people thought about the heels no one could disagree this was the funniest person in England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland at the time.

We used to have adverts like that all the time in UK. Funeral plans of all sorts, and it was always people like this in the Ads, that looked like they have a good 20 years left in them.
