I recall when I watched the series the first time that I also thought their childhood girl friend is a really cool and real friend. It’s too common in BL series to have the female friend or acquaintance being jealous or betraying the main protagonist etc. i like that they made her likeable but also very believable, like how she is rooting for them because she’s their childhood friend too.
