I hate King's dad the most. He's so awful, but the main thing is that he's just watching “Pitbabe." Yeah, right. And yeah, in this homemovie, King's dad is just watching “Pitbabe.” How is anyone supposed to take him seriously? But I love Poohpavel too, they've really moved up to number one on my list of favorite couples. I'm already so excited for “Grim Lover”.... What I’ve noticed for myself: Pooh has grown extremely fast as an actor. That’s my personal opinion. He’s learned a lot from Pavel. But what I still find most beautiful is how Pavel compares himself to Babe from Pitbabe to his own role and says that Pooh has brought joy and happiness into his life and made everything better for him, thereby changing him for the better. As a longtime Pavel fan, I can only confirm this, you can just see the change in him. I’ve quoted it here in essence.

darin was changed a lot from the novel, how superstitious they are along with their role in the plot are pretty much all that was kept. darin is a woman in the novel and also darin and sey don't end up in a relationship being two of the biggest changes. i ended up reading the novel like mid-season and reading past where the show was 'cause i was just enjoying it a lot and also i actually couldn't tell where to stop. how the plot moves forward is different from the novel while still keeping the basic thread the same, it's actually impressive that they managed to surprise me with what was happening in the show at times even after i finished the novel

darin has a very cute motherly type relationship with thup in the novel that i kind of miss with the show and i'm kind of disappointed that thup's cousin was totally cut out because i loved him. on the flip i really enjoy seeing michaeltopten stuff so i can't complain that the show delivers on that. there are parts of the investigation in sisaket that i like a lot more in the show because they're a bit more grounded and really the case in general is a lot more murky in the show which adds to the mystery, like the stuff going on at santi tham house in the novel is super sus from the get go. the novel has a lot more supernatural elements/ghost shenanigans and a lot of scenes that i really wish were adapted to the show ended up not being part of it. the show really speeds up the intimacy between thup and singha and i appreciate that, they somehow manage to make king a jerk in new ways, and even though i was like "aw they cut that out?" at times i still really liked what they ended up doing with the story. this show is in my top 5 shows from 2025 for a reason 😂
