My title for this ep: "Mothers and Sons" What I really wish from this show - even more than Tanrak and Barth finding happiness together - is that Barth will soon be able to reconnect and live together with his mother who protected her son with her life, taking all the consequences. Barth's and Tan's mothers are always present in their sons' heads, yet out of reach. Sorry to say this, but Dech's mother is the character in the series who triggers me the most. She commands attention the moment she appears and manipulates everyone around her under the guise of love and kindness. Last, there's Mother Mary as the symbol of selfless maternal love.

It’s so interesting that we see the painting throughout the entire episode. What do you think that could mean? I’m still personally trying to figure it out. I don’t know if you clocked it, but their names were spelt backwards on the letters they wrote to each other (Trab - Bart and Nat - Tan) so if someone were to find them, they wouldn’t immediately know who the letters belonged to. Also a little side-note, P’Aof confirmed this after the episode aired, the storage room scene is fully improvised by GemFot, as well as the fight scene. Barth apologizing to Tan wasn’t in the script. Just shows you how much they knew and cared for there characters.

I love improvised scenes the most because it shows just how in character they are!! Not having to worry about lines they can just take the scene where they want to take it.

I agree with you that Kongdech is a good guy. I think what we're seeing here is him reacting in a typically teenage way to his hurt feelings. He cares about his bestie, Tanrak, but is hurt that Tanrak didn't tell him what was going on between him and Barth, something he could see developing in front of his eyes. But as you mentioned, how exactly would either of them bring that up? So, it was a bit of a catch-22 for them both. I also picked up on something here that I missed the first 5 or 6 times I saw this ... in the confessional, Father was not giving Tanrak a choice between his love interest and heaven. He was saying that IF Tanrak felt it was wrong he should repent, but the choice was whether or not he wanted to continue on the seminary path or go another way. Director Aof has done a great job of not vilifying the religion itself, but just how it is sometimes weaponized to control people (i.e. Barth's mother not leaving a bad relationship because of her fear of sinning). I really think this is a landmark series not only for BL and GMM-TV, but just in general for an understanding of religion and how it effects different lifestyles. So looking forward to the finale next week. I have a feeling it will be a long episode to tie everything up.
