After that, you venture out on the prison to fight monsters trying to get to the surface but the guardian of the prison, The Valkyrie is a big challenge to take upon. You, the MC is trying to figure this out throughout the story. It's about an unsung hero about to save the woman of his dreams. It's nothing new or anything but what they did to the story was very fun and nice. It was easy to read all through the dialogue and none of the characters were boring to listen to. I guess my only complaint from the story is how they handled the time traveling part.It was a bit finicky in their way of telling it and a lot of it were just a surprise because sometimes the story is paced badly. Like it's odd that each battle ends so quickly and then you transitioned back to the safe house and progress like a madman in terms of normal story progression. It was oddly fast paced in my opinion. But anyways. All of the characters were charming and attractive. Especially Valette and Sui. I thought Sui was just a boring character at first but at the end I was hoping she would end up with the MC. She's such a likeable character and I really loved how they manage her writing as the shopkeeper. 8/10🌟Animations and Artstyle:I don't know if it's AI or not. It kinda does sometimes but sometimes don't? I guess it's just weirdly drawn on my end. I think the animations were fine, even on combat. I think the animations really shined on the abilities. It was animated through pixel art so I always appreciate that. I find it funny on the grenade cuz' whenever I do the time stop ability and then the unli-use ammo ability on it, the explosion animation is just so satisfying to see. Don't worry it won't give you severe flashing lights but just a heads up, it's a light epilepsy warning. The artstyle is something. The dot pixel is okay. I feel like it's a miss opportunity on that part but on the 2DCG, I think it's pretty good. I just kinda wish they did a lot more than that because the vibe of the dot pixel art doesn't really match the 2DCG of it. Both are good don't get me wrong but I just think it doesn't mix well together that much... 7/10⭐Gameplay:If you played Soul Knight on mobile or Enter the Gungeon, it's basically that but a bit toned down in terms of mechanics and gunplay. The way it goes is you enter 1 room and defend yourself from the spawn waves of enemies. Once that's done, you earn a gun mod that you can put on specific types of guns. You go back to the safehouse and get to buy new guns and new upgrades from Sui. After that, you can talk to other characters inside the safehouse to trigger scenes and unlock new abilities. That's essentially it. It's quite basic in terms of combat and upgradables. My only complaint is half of the story is where you can't upgrade nor buy new guns later on the game. Which sucks because you only have the last stage to prepare on since on that it unlocks the guns and the mods back. Anyways, I do think the combat is pretty fun. I love how you can mix and match the abilities to your current holding weapon, which makes up a whole lot of experimentation in terms of like trying out new combos between your melee and range attacks. Overall I love it. It's very addicting once you get to it. 9/10✨Sound Design and Music:It's okay. Nothing really unique to it other than sounding good on the H-scenes. But that's about it though. Anything else sounds generic... 6/10⭐H-Content:And lastly the H-scenes. I liked it but... the ratio is very low on this game. You're getting a 35%/65%, with 35% on H-scenes and 65% on combat/gameplay. Plus on top of that, I feel like the H-scenes aren't very good. The way the dot pixel scenes are played is a bit odd because you barely get to see the genitals nor any kind of climax fluids after you're done doing the deed. It's a shame really because I do think this is the kind of game where its deserved to have S-tier h-scenes. I don't necessarily mean the H-scenes are unfappable. It's more of a preference thing on my end. I do think there's an audience for this style of H-scenes. For me though? Nope. 7/10⭐Rating:Captive Lili was a fun action rpg with a good enough story to follow through. I'm giving this a strong 7/10🌟
