Harpy Eda, 6 Fanarts! (Patreon)

I've actually never watched The Owl House, so I don't really know what kind of character Eda is, but she looks really cool! Her wiki page summary was complicated with zero context so stuff must be going down in that show, but I always love to see an older character, even if the "older" is only depicted in one or two lines on their face lol.

I still want to make some simple backgrounds for these guys but I'll be a bit busy with Life Stuff for the rest of the week, so that likely will have to wait a bit. Either way, I hope you guys got a kick out of this!! It was really fun having you guys decide what I drew everyday and I'd like to do more stuff like this now and then. :D

Owl House is sooooo much fun, easily one of my favorite shows of all time. Eda turned out beautiful!!!!

Eda is like a "cool auntie" kind of character. She's daring, mischievous, and very anti-authoritarian. Her harpy form is from a curse her sister gave to her as a child. The curse is an owl entity who used to torment and take over Eda's body, so she would drink these elixirs to keep it at bay. They harbored mutual disdain for each other, but they eventually came to a truce. The form you drew her in is the form she takes now because they're unified. Before that, it was much more monstrous and Eda had no control over it. If Eda existed in your work, I can see her maybe being someone Laurel could befriend or relate to while she was struggling with her identity. Sure, Eda isn't a harpy hybrid and she can control when she takes that form, but she had to learn how to live with it and accept their conjoined natures. That took Eda YEARS and she had to it alone. So I'd imagine she'd see Laurel and take her under her wing (no pun intended... okay, maybe a little) and try to get her to accept herself too.

God eda is hot in all media. ANYWAYYY, i have a question. harpy's preen/groom eachother if im not mistaken, has kree expressed desire to preen or be preened towards clara, and if so how does she try?

Kree definitely participates in grooming behavior with Clara both giving and recieving. Clara learns to pinch at pin feathers to help release them from their casings for Kree, and Kree playfully nibbles at Clara's hair but also enjoys combing through her hair carefully with his talons.
