For Mods / CC

Move the .package and .ts4script files to:

For Tray Files

Move the files to:

Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > Tray

1. Open your game and make sure “Enable Custom Content and Mods” is turned on in Game Options

2. Restart your game and enjoy ♡

📌 CC Dependencies Check

Starting now, I will be manually reviewing the CC folder for each build and including all necessary dependencies, such as texture files and required support files, to help prevent missing textures or objects appearing incorrectly in the game.

My goal is to make the installation process easier and more convenient for you. When downloading a build, you won’t need to manually search for missing dependencies or figure out which extra files are required for the CC to work properly. I will check the custom content used in each build to make sure everything needed is included and ready to use.

📁 A Little CC Folder Note

I recommend placing this entire folder directly into your Mods folder rather than moving the files around.

This way, all the cc used in my build stays together and easy to find. If you ever download a complete set or pack from one of the creators included here, you'll know exactly which files came with my build and can easily remove any duplicates if necessary.

This is just a little recommendation to help keep your Mods folder organized and avoid possible duplicate files or conflicts.

Having trouble after a game update?

Sometimes, a new The Sims 4 update can make certain cc files or mods incompatible with the game. If your game stops opening, crashes or starts having issues after an update, one or more cc files might be causing the problem.

You can try the 50/50 Method to find out which files are causing the issue:

1. First, make a backup of your Mods folder.

2. Remove your cc files temporarily and launch the game to check if it works normally.

3. If the game works, divide your cc files into two equal groups.

4. Add the first group to your mods folder and test the game.

5. If the problem comes back, the problematic file is likely in that group. Divide it in half again and repeat the process.

6. If the game works normally, remove that group and test the second group separately.

7. Keep repeating this process until you narrow down the problematic file.

A few extra tips:

• Always close the game before moving or replacing cc files.

• Delete the localthumbcache.package file from your The Sims 4 folder (Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4) before testing again.

• If both groups work separately but the problem returns when they're combined, there might be a conflict between two or more files, or duplicate cc.

• Remember that this doesn't necessarily mean the cc is broken. Sometimes, game updates simply make previously working custom content incompatible. Check whether the original creators have released updated versions.

I hope this helps keep your game running smoothly and your mods folder happy! ♡
