My head was pounding fiercely, and my mouth felt parched. I slowly opened my eyes, but the room was spinning. I tried to sit up and immediately regretted it... fuck, I felt terrible. I hadn’t experienced a hangover this bad in ages.
What the hell happened last night?
Then I remembered, and my stomach sank. Fuck, I might actually throw up. The bar, Will, and Jack staying at Nicolai’s... How had I managed to get back to the room? How had I got into bed? I turned my head and froze...
There was a man lying in the bed next to me, but it wasn’t Jack.
It was Will.
Oh shit, oh no. What had I done?
I pulled myself up and glanced at the bedside table; my phone was there. I grabbed it and checked the time: 7:10 am. There were five missed calls from Jack and a load of messages. I looked at the most recent:
JACK: Baby, are you OK? I’m on my way back. I feel weird about staying out last night. I want to see you. Call me.
Shit. He’s on his way. I heard movement nearby and looked back at Will. He rolled over and smiled at me. He was topless, but the duvet covered the rest of him, so I couldn’t tell if he was naked.
“Morning,” he said casually.
“What the hell happened? What did I do?” I said, already panicking.
“Whoa, relax. Nothing happened between us — dude, I’m not about to take advantage of a drunk guy." Will replied, looking serious.
“Nothing happened?” I asked.
Will sat up, and I could now see he was wearing boxers.
We got very drunk at the bar, very drunk, and I brought you back here because you were barely able to stand. You told me I should just crash, so I did. Full disclosure, though — I’m sad you don’t remember, but we had a quick make-out at the bar. But that’s all! When we got upstairs, we both fell asleep,” he replied.
“Fuck. Ok. Jack, my husband, is on his way back. You’ve got to go!” I said, rising quickly and swaying, feeling dizzy.
“Ok, but look, we didn’t do anything. It’s all fine,” Will reassured.
“Yes, good, but it still won’t look great if you are here when he gets back," I said, hoping he would get the hint.
“No worries, I’ll get outta here," he replied.
He began gathering his belongings and putting his clothes back on. I couldn’t help but notice what a good body he had… which made me feel worse. At least nothing had happened. I mean, we kissed, he said, but nothing more. Still, it wasn’t okay that he had spent the night in my bed, even if we didn’t do anything. That wasn’t okay.
I stayed in bed trying to stop my head from spinning and from completely freaking out as Will got himself ready.
Finally, Will had changed and was ready to leave. He approached the bed and sat on its edge. I must have looked such a mess.
“Look, I had a really good time last night. I hope we can see each other again, and I’d love to meet Jack,” he said.
“I did too,” I replied, honestly. “But let’s see. I gotta talk to him first," I said.
“Yeah, you guys definitely have some stuff to talk through. If I can offer some advice, just be really open and truthful with how you feel.”
I smiled at him, appreciative of how kind he was being. He leaned in and kissed my cheek, then he got up and headed to the door. I heard it open and close.
I took a deep breath, still trying to process everything that happened last night. I got up and went to the fridge, grabbing a bottle of cold water and pouring myself a large glass. I downed it fast.
I went back to bed and sat on the edge. It also now hit me…Jack had spent the night with Nicolai. My head was scrambled. I had wanted them to go on a date, and to fuck alone after. I had pushed for that. And I had said yes when Jack asked to stay the night. But I shouldn’t have, I didn’t want that. It was too far.
Suddenly, I heard the door open.
“Ben?” I heard Jack’s voice.
He entered the bedroom, and I simply looked up at him. He looked so handsome, my Jack. But my stomach twisted at the thought of him being with Nicolai all night. Sleeping with him.
"Hey," he said.
"Hey," I replied.
He came over and sat beside me on the bed. We both remained silent for what felt like ages. Then he placed his hand on mine.
“I shouldn’t have stayed over. I’m sorry,” he said softly.
“I agreed”, I replied.
“But I shouldn’t if even asked, and definitely not by text”, he said.
He wasn’t wrong. I wanted to say something, but I didn’t know what at that moment. I realised I needed space. I needed to clear my head; I didn’t want to say things I’d regret. I just didn’t know how I felt about all this at that moment.
I'm going to head out for a bit. I just need a little space. Ok?” I said, not looking at Jack.
He squeezed my hand, then took it away.
“Ok baby,” he said. His voice sounded strained.
I got up and went to the bathroom, closing the door behind me. I took a shower and freshened up, then changed into some clothes and grabbed a small bag with my belongings—wallet, towel, etc. I wasn’t sure where I was going to go.
I went over to Jack, who was now sitting on the terrace. He was sitting quietly, gazing out at the view.
“I’ll be back later,” I said.
“Ok”, he replied.
As I turned to leave, I heard his voice.
“I am sorry, Ben," he said.
I paused, then went to the door and left.
At reception, I went to reserve a car and asked the receptionist if he knew any quiet beaches to relax at. He smiled and pulled out a map, then circled a region on it.
“This beach is beautiful, and it’s not very touristy, so it’s quiet. A real gem,” he said.
I thanked him and stepped out to catch the taxi.
-
Later, I relaxed on a sunbed beneath the blazing sun. It was a small stretch of beach accessible only via a rocky path; it was very secluded. There were just about ten sun loungers, all looking a bit worn. A small wooden hut stood there, where an old, wrinkled man sat. You paid him to use the loungers, and he had a fridge from which you could buy drinks.
There was an older couple a few sun loungers away and a woman on her own, but apart from that, this place was deserted. It felt like somewhere only the locals knew about.
This was the perfect place to clear my head.
I was gradually feeling better, less hungover. I wanted to be with Jack, but I knew I had to take some time to think things through. I had kissed a random guy at the pub, and he stayed over in our bed, at least with Jack it was agreed. But also, we hadn’t agreed that he would stay over at Nicolai’s. It was enough for them to go on a date alone and then have sex at Nicolai’s. I thought they were going to come back to ours, so at least I would know where Jack was and see him afterwards.
But I had wanted this. I was upset with Jack for pushing the boundaries, but I should have been clearer. I should have said no when he asked to stay over.
The problem is there’s always this part of me that wants to push the boundaries. This cuck side of me loves it; I get so turned on, and it’s a battle of control between the part of me that knows this might not be good for our relationship and the part that just wants the cuck experience. Part of the kink is the jealousy, and that feels even more intense when Jack is doing things like this, but the reality is that it also hurts.
I know that, as a cuckold, I don’t like the abusive side; we addressed some of that with Henry. For me, it's more about seeing Jack with other guys or knowing he is with other guys. It all revolves around the jealousy. But I also know I still need to feel that he is mine and that we are okay. I don’t want Jack to actually leave me for another bloke. But for this kink, for me to get my thrill, we do need to push the line... but how far? It feels like last night went too far. And I think mainly because we didn’t check in with each other. Talking over text about staying the night with Nicolai was not clever. And it hurt to be asked; I wanted Jack to already know that was too far. But am I wrong to feel that? I should also communicate better. But I was drunk at a bar.
There are many different ways to be a cuckold, and I am gradually discovering what I enjoy.
All these thoughts ran through my mind as I lay in the sun and listened to the waves washing in. It was so peaceful here, so tranquil. I noticed my eyes closing, and I drifted off to sleep.
-
I woke up feeling hot, the sun was still shining down on me. I had no idea how long I had been asleep for. I picked up my phone and saw messages from Jack.
JACK: Baby, please just let me know you’re all right.
A few hours had passed. Yet, I felt better and clearer.
I began gathering my belongings. It was time to leave. Time to speak to Jack.
I now knew how I felt and what I wanted to do.
Jack and I needed to talk.
