Hybrid/Alpha!Ghost x Handler!Soap **** Ghost is a menace, a stubborn, pain in the ass dog. Price grumbles at the stack of new reports that just came in. This was going to take all day and by the looks of it, it was just the start. Over the years it had been relatively easy to control Ghost and his attitude. Price could keep him in check, but after Roba, something broke in him. He didn’t blame Simon, what he went through was barbaric. The cartel beat and killed many hybrids. Used them for illegal fight rings, and Ghost, he was one of the lucky few. Simon died, and Ghost survived. Ghost, the Alpha who couldn’t stop trying to dominate others around him. Always trying to prove his Alpha classification and in turn, becoming a bit disobedient. Again, Price didn’t blame the guy, but as Captain, having a soldier you couldn’t keep in line was a problem. He glanced at the papers in front of him, new reports from scared or angry recruits. All asking in one way or another that Ghost be reprimanded. And he’s tried. With little luck. He sighed and leaned back, after Roba, Ghost struggled giving up control. And allowing others, like him for example, to take lead on a mission. This caused tension and sometimes a mission to blow up in their face. He couldn’t do this anymore, not while also risking others on the team. He grumbled and pulled open a drawer, in it was thin manila folder with a name. A name that promised a future where Ghost would be a bit more obedient. At least, that’s what Laswell said. [Johnny "Soap" MacTavish] it read. A Handler well regarded, one who did wonders with unruly hybrids in the military. And Ghost was definitely as unruly as they got, if not more. With doubt in his mind, he opened the folder and signed off on the transfer. “Soap, you’re my last saving grace.” Price said in his empty office. Whatever Soaps methods were, he just hoped Ghost would be receptive. (Damn, I’m heading out 😭 I’ll update this comment ficlet later today!!)
