I think Toy was thinking of a Renaissance Fair. Here in the states we have the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronisms) I was part of for a bit in college where we made our armor and trained to do mock battles. Also there was 1 horse in the movie, the guy that rode past when the historian was killed was on horseback. I have seen people at various comic cons that cosplay as the knights complete with people with the coconuts for galloping. LOL!

This is the reaction that brought me here! One of my favorite films and I know all of the dialog lol

you know, you can tell the people that love it, and the people that don't like it. The ones that like it can quote most of the entire movie.

This was a low, low, low budget movie, around $400,000 at the time, when Hollywood movies were spending millions on making movies They couldn't afford horses. They couldn't use castles in England because they all belong to the government. There is only one (well at the time) castle that was privately owned and they used that castle for every scene (different rooms and different decorations obviously). I've heard they made a Holy Grail museum out of it now. It's in Scotland. I guess you've figured out by now that Monty Python is the name of the comedy troupe, not any person. My favorite character is the French guy on top of the castle wall. I wish they had done more of him. Did you notice that Brave Sir Robin had a chicken painted on his shield and tunic? One of my all-time favorite movies. I've seen it many times. The moral of the story: Be careful when someone farts in your general direction!
