Howdy!
I apologize again for the long delay and thank everyone for their patience. Here is the demo I intended to have released by February that showcases the intro sequence we wrote. This demo is entirely story, presenting the first moments your character has in the daycare, how they ended up there, and how they met all the nurses.
As I've explained before, this is my first stab at writing anything, especially anything this long and also ABDL-related, so apologize for any mistakes in pacing or consistency as a result of my inexperience. I've also tried my best to integrate introducing the UI elements during the course of the story instead of dumping it on players all at once at the end.
I'd love to hear your feedback on what parts you liked, what parts you didn't like, what want changed, or whatever feedback you'd like to give us about the demo. I'd love to know the average amount of time people took to finish going through the story as it'll help me get a better feel for how long I want the game to be in the end.
Again, to reiterate, please note that all the artwork present in the demo is still just a rough draft and isn’t representative of how it will look in the final game.
Without further ado, with art from Spooky and music from Tennet, please enjoy the demo!
Install Instructions
Please extract the game folder to your directory of choice, and then run the 'Everstone Daycare.exe' file within to play the game. Enjoy!
Please note for the Mac version that this is not a signed app, so you may encounter an error when first trying to open this program. Please follow the instructions on this support page to work around this.
Known Issues
- Character sprites may become invisible during the scene if you go through dialogue boxes too quickly. They return the next time their character is sprite is supposed to appear. I assume this is because you can go too fast for the sprite finish fading in, causing it to skip it entirely and leave them unloaded.
- The dialogue fastforward button (furthest button to the right of the small buttons on top of the dialogue box) currently doesn't do anything. It's inteded to go through all the dialogue quickly for repeat playthroughs, but given the issue above, I can see why it not working would cause it's own problems. Either way, I intend to find a solution to both.
- The font for the Mac version seems to be defaulting to the program's original font and not using the pixel font intended for the game.
