I really hated Christopher Nolan's "adaptation" of The Odyssey.

It was a horrendous adaptation that subverts, de-mystifies and defiles all original translations of the text.

Even if you remove The Odyssey from the equation, it is a terrible story, with horrid acting, character inconsistencies with terrible behaviour choices, terrible editting, and terrible sound track.

Even Circe and the Cyclops, the most praise-worthy moments, had content cut, designs altered, and modern changes added. The Circe feminist rant was the worst.

The only good thing were a few interesting camera shots that looked pretty. Other than that, most of it washed out and depressing.

I'm not even going to touch on the terrible casting, cause that has already been done to death. Instead, I present to you an outlet of my frustrations in the form of Helen of Troy. And even with her grossly exaggerated proportions, she is a far more accurate representation of the most beautiful woman in the world than whatever was given to us in that film.

And this is a ecchi version of her.

Now that I think about it, the Paris and Helen relationships from the legends is perfect for a NTR adaptation of a young, hot prince seducing and stealing the wife of another man, lol. Even Homer was a fan of NTR, hence cementing it as a popular genre.

This is a face and body that could truly launch a thousand ships all right! And while Paris may have been the one who seduced Helen there is a story where Paris got her magically because of Aphrodite due to a contest with Athena and Hera over the title of which one of them was the most beautiful goddess. Paris is the judge. And all over a golden apple that only goes to the fairest goddess, a trick from Eris goddess of Chaos. Hera offered Paris the countries of Europe and Asia to rule, Athena offered him strategies to conquer his enemies and improve his kingdom, Aphrodite offered to make the most beautiful woman in the world his wife. Not hard to understand why he picked Aphrodite to be the winner. Heh!

Didn't Aphrodite do the work by bewitching Helen into loving Paris?

I highly recommend you check out Epic The Musical as it covers over the Oddyssey, and the songs are pretty good and catchy. Some of my favorite songs are "Syclla", "Hold him Down.", "Ruthlessness", "Odysseus", and "Would you fall in love with me again". People have made animatic versions of these. I highly recommend you check them out!
