As some of you may not know, I’m actually a certified web developer, and I’ve been thinking about offering something completely new to the PixelForm 3D community!

💡 Here’s my idea:

What if I introduced a new, slightly more expensive membership tier that would include not only full access to ALL my 3D models, but also your very own professional website?

To start with, I would limit this special membership to just 10 people, so I can give everyone the time, attention, and support they deserve.

🌐 What would be included?

✅ Your own professional website, perfect for showcasing your 3D prints, your brand, and your small business.

🎨 A professionally designed website template that you can customize with your own colors, images, text, and branding.

🖥️ Web hosting included – no need to worry about finding or paying for a separate hosting provider.

🔧 Website maintenance and technical support included.

✏️ Occasional website updates, such as changing images, updating text, or making small adjustments based on your requests.

🐻 Full access to ALL PixelForm 3D models, including all future releases.

💼 A commercial license to sell physical prints of my models while your membership is active.

So, what’s the biggest advantage?

You wouldn’t have to pay someone €2,000–€3,000 upfront to build a professional website for your small business.

But that’s not all! 😊

On top of the initial website development costs, you also wouldn’t have to pay someone an additional €100–€150 per month for website maintenance, or pay separately for web hosting.

When you add all these expenses together, having your own professional website can become quite expensive, especially if you’re just starting or growing your small business.

With this membership, you’d get everything in one package, without a huge upfront investment or additional monthly fees for hosting and the included website maintenance! ❤️

So, for one monthly membership fee, you’d have a professionally designed website, web hosting, technical maintenance, occasional content updates, and of course, full access to all my 3D models with a commercial license.

Of course, this doesn’t mean I would build a completely custom website from scratch for every member. Instead, I would provide a professionally designed website template that we could personalize to match your business, your branding, and your preferences.

❤️ Now I REALLY Want to Hear YOUR Thoughts!

Would you be interested in a membership like this?

What do you think would be a fair monthly price for everything included?

Is there anything else you’d love to see included in this package?

Please share your thoughts in the comments, even if you’re not personally interested! Your feedback will help me decide whether this idea is worth bringing to life.

I’m genuinely curious to see how many of you would be interested! 😍

Thank you all! ❤️ – PixelForm 3D

1. Yes absolutely 2. 25 or maybe 30 a month?

Emily Maggard

I’m not sure if I’m big enough for a website but I think what you are offering is really awesome and would be worth it.

MavScriptBlu

As a Web Developer and Software Engineer myself... 1. This is a brilliant idea! It takes so much of the technical headache out of starting a 3D printing business. 2. Considering hosting and maintenance are included, anywhere from €35–€50 a month feels incredibly fair for the value. 3. It would be awesome if the package included a quick-start guide or tips on setting up an online shop to sell those prints!

PixelForm 3D

I think €30 is a bit too cheap for everything I would be offering. At least here in Austria, even a basic landing page costs around €1,500, monthly website maintenance is usually around €100–€150, and hosting costs another €20–€40 per month. Of course, I’m not planning to add up all those costs and charge that much for the membership. That’s not my goal at all. But I do feel that €30 per month is quite low for everything included in the package. That’s exactly why I’d love to hear as many opinions as possible before making a decision. I want to understand what people would be willing to pay and whether offering something like this would actually be worth it. ❤️

Mrskpeco14

1. Yes 2. I have no idea how to answer this

I'm currently working on a Square free website that's not that user friendly, it's connected to my Square reader. I'd love a proper website but I'm not sure I'm big enough yet to have one that's hosted externally especially with the exchange rate from AUD being so bad, even at $25 USD that converts to at least $36 probably closer to $40 AUD by the time the bank charges their conversion fees & that's not something I could sustain atm.

PixelForm 3D

If there’s enough interest in this project, I’ll make sure everything is as user-friendly as possible, with clear explanations and guidance to help you along the way. And of course, I’ll always be available 24/7 if you have any questions, need help, or run into any problems! ❤️😊

PixelForm 3D

The idea here would be for me to create one main professional website design as a starting point. Then, anyone who subscribes to this membership would simply tell me what colors, images, and text they’d like to use, which elements they want removed, and what they’d like to change or customize. Basically, you’d have your very own website without having to deal with any of the technical stuff or complicated setup yourself. 😊 You wouldn’t have to do anything on your own! I’d take care of everything for you, and whenever you need something updated, changed, or adjusted, I’d always be available to help. My goal is to make the whole process as simple and stress-free as possible for everyone! ❤️ And of course, your website would remain active for as long as you’re subscribed to this membership. If you ever decide to cancel your subscription, the website would simply be taken offline

PrintStudio7

I already have my own website, so this wouldn't benefit me in anyway.

Julz67

What about an option to purchase the domain from you or a smaller web only option if keeping the full subscription became too difficult through a period of financial hardship? It would be a shame after all the work that went into it to build a business & website to shut it down because they couldn't afford a full subscription. If the smaller web only option was offered to previous full subscribers, you could build in an option to block your designs from their website.

PixelForm 3D

If you had your website professionally built by someone, may I ask how much you paid for it and how much you’re currently paying for hosting?

Rachel Eryn

I don't need a website as I do not sell anything but I would totally pay $50 a month minimum for everything mentioned. I am an avid shopper though and when I go to websites that are clunky and can't handle the simple task I am trying to do - like look at something, see pricing, shipping, if it is in stock or made to order, etc... it drives me away when a site is not friendly. I like to spend money so I get leery that a site is more vulnerable to fraud but also feel bad if it is just a less computer savvy person trying to make a living without fees like ETSY and other places. Plus when I want something I get set on it so if someone has great products to offer I hope they find a good site to showcase and sell them. Long story short - I agree that your pricing is closer to what would be needed if not a little more depending on any added features.

Brooke Abdo

I’m brand new I would love my own website something I was thinking about next year to figure out

PixelForm 3D

That’s actually a really great suggestion, and I completely understand your point! ❤️ My goal isn’t just to create websites and earn money from memberships. I genuinely want to help people grow their small businesses without having to spend thousands of dollars on a professional website. And you’re absolutely right! It would be a shame for someone to spend months or even years building their business, only to lose their website because they’re going through a difficult financial period. I could definitely consider offering a cheaper, website-only membership for people who previously had the full package. That way, they could keep their website online without having to pay for access to all my 3D models. Another possibility could be offering members the option to purchase their website outright if they ever decide to leave the membership completely. Of course, I’d need to work out the details and make sure everything is fair and sustainable for both sides. This is exactly why I wanted to have this discussion with everyone before launching anything! ❤️ You bring up things I might not have considered, and together we can come up with something that actually works for everyone.

Shani

1. Yes. 2. Idk but Akshan designs offers a 1 time website build with all of their current 3d prints already programmed in for $1k. Not maintained the way you are talking about though. 3. The ability to add other designs, not just yours.

Nanette Ramahi

For those that can afford it, it would be really nice.

Terri

I would definitely be interested.

Alicia

Would this website come with shopping, shopping cart and email capabilities? What would happen to the website if someone decided to unsubscribe?

Momzilla2020

I'm not big enough for a website, so I'll stick to the $20 fee please!! But for some it sounds like a good idea!!!

Danielle D

1. Yes absolutely! I’d be interested personally! I’ve been looking into setting up a website. 2. $50 USD a month would be perfectly fine to me. Maybe more. I really don’t know what the web part costs. I know square offers for free but it’s not a full fledged website …at least I don’t think it is. Just list items which I just started looking into today. 3. I would also want a link tree so could link ti your patron and a couple of others I use. I’d also want a spot to showcase a logo from you and my other patrons that I’m a licensed dealer.

I have a retail website already as I built it for the paper crafting industry before getting in to 3D printing. I now have a 3D section on it. The biggest challenges I have on the 3D printing side are writing descriptions for my prints and then pricing them fairly. I think this idea could be helpful for someone that is brand new in to website design. I didn’t have anyone and had to do A TON of work learning it (I still struggle with some aspects). I use Shopify and pay $800 or so every 2 years.

Alex Lichty

I would completely do this. So long as, integration was included for all products I may offer, payment options, shipping integration, and backend analytics and inventory. I did pay someone to set up a shopify website and that was stupid of me. It never got going. This I can see growing with me. But what would happen if you stopped being on patreon? Or, God forbid I missed a payment? Would it be like shopify were i lose everything? I have a domain name currently. Would this be able to be transfered to that domain, and be mine there after? BecauseI am not sure i am into subscription based plans where I own nothing. Just my 2 cents.

Sabrina D

This sounds interesting!!

Rachel Eryn

I am not a sell so I am just asking question/questions from a curious point of view. What terms are you going to have - so someone doesn't sign up and then after you put in work and build a decent website they cancel but have the basic web code or whatnot (I am not a web designer) but I am guessing someone could use AI to find out what they need to copy to steal the basic set up and go off on their own. I get they would have to pay other fees on their own so my main question was more towards all your time and effort spent if someone flies the coop right after you put the work in. I am sure you can refill a spot - I am just curious as I don't know what protects both you and the subscriber in general. Also people do have emergencies and life changes which is understandable, I was just referencing more so that crazy things happen in the digital world.

Mark

Sounds like a great idea for the right person or people

PixelForm 3D

Let me explain a little more how this would work. 😊 I would already have a professionally designed website template ready to use. So, for each new client, I would only need to customize things like colors, images, text, and certain elements to match their business and preferences. I wouldn’t be building a completely new website from scratch for every client, because, as you mentioned, that simply wouldn’t make financial sense. Someone could subscribe for just one month, cancel, and all those hours of work would be wasted. Instead, I would be offering a ready-made website that I personally customize and maintain for each subscriber. As for protecting my work, I would be the only person with access to the website’s source code and backend. Essentially, you would be renting a professionally maintained website from me for as long as your subscription is active. The complete website project and source code would not be included in the subscription. There would also be a limited number of available spots, and ideally, I would love to work with people who genuinely want to keep their websites running long-term. If someone decides to cancel their subscription, their website would simply be taken offline. Of course, we’re all human, and I completely understand that unexpected things happen in life. If someone is going through financial difficulties or having some kind of personal emergency, they can always reach out to me. I’m sure we could discuss the situation and find a reasonable solution together. ❤️ So basically, this model protects me from spending countless hours building websites for people who might only subscribe for one month just to get a website and leave. At the same time, subscribers get their own professional website without having to worry about coding, hosting, maintenance, updates, or any of the technical stuff. I take care of all of that for them. 😊

PixelForm 3D

Let me explain a little more about how I’m planning to make this work. 😊 The idea is that I would already have a professionally designed website template ready. For each new subscriber, I would customize things like colors, images, text, and certain elements to match their business. I wouldn’t be building a completely new website from scratch for every customer. Essentially, you would be renting a professionally designed website along with my maintenance and support for as long as your subscription is active. I would handle all the technical aspects, updates, and changes, so you wouldn’t have to worry about any of that. Regarding your domain, yes, the idea would be to allow you to use your own domain name, which would remain yours. As for missed payments, I’m not planning to shut down someone’s website immediately just because they missed one payment. We’re all human, and unexpected things happen. Communication is important to me, and I’m sure we could always find a reasonable solution. ❤️ If someone decides to permanently cancel their subscription, however, their website would eventually be taken offline, since the website itself is part of the subscription service rather than something being sold outright. And regarding Patreon, I would definitely want to make sure there is a solution in place so customers aren’t left without their websites if something changes with the platform. As for payment processing, shipping integrations, inventory management, and analytics, those are more advanced e-commerce features. My initial idea is focused on providing professional websites at an affordable monthly price, but I’m definitely interested in exploring additional features depending on what people actually need. I completely understand your concerns about subscription-based services where you don’t own the website itself. This model certainly won’t be for everyone, and that’s perfectly fine! 😊 My goal is simply to offer an affordable, stress-free solution for people who want a professional online presence without paying a large amount upfront or dealing with the technical side of running a website. And I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts. Feedback like this helps me understand what people would actually expect from such a service! ❤️

PixelForm 3D

Yes, the website would come with all of those features included. 😊 The number of spots available for this membership would be limited, so I could properly manage everything and give each member the time and attention they need. Those few members would probably have access to a private Discord server or something similar, where we could easily communicate about their websites, updates, requests, or any issues. So, if someone forgets to pay for the next month or something unexpected happens, their website wouldn’t just be shut down immediately. We would stay in touch, discuss the situation, and see whether they plan to continue their subscription. Of course, if someone is no longer interested in the service and decides to cancel permanently, their website would then be taken offline. My goal is to keep everything simple, flexible, and personal, rather than treating everyone like just another customer. ❤️

Good morning, I do like the sounds of this, however since we are a new business like most from what I am reading am not sure how this would work. We are an LLC company with just myself and my husband. We do get asked all the time if we have a website, becausewe are just starting out we simply can't afford what most people are charging for something like this.. Would we have our own Domain, etc, I would love if you could email all the details so we could look it over. As always we love your designs and appreciate all the work you do. Our email is: DJRZ3D@OUTLOOK.COM.

Bee Sting 3D Studio

I love this idea. It would all depend cost as I’m in Australia the conversion is what kill it for me - one question - having products on the website - can we advertise other designers products that we subscribe to or only your designs. I currently don’t have a website only Etsy , I want a website long term. It’s a great thing looking outside the box. Good job.

PixelForm 3D

You could have whatever you want on that website. You don’t have to feature my models at all 🤣

RosePrints3D

This would be sooooo GREAT! To be honest, if I could, I would definitely pay US $50, But I am not big enough (YET) for this wonderful idea of yours!

Douglas Cuyuch

I think that a price that includes all prints would be awesome indeed. I would not need for a website as I already have one, only because I offer a lot more of a variety of products and customs. Can't wait to see where you go with all this.

Alex Lichty

Ok thank you for the clarity.

Kary Sterling

I would be totally interested, my winter project is to build a website and get my online presence out there!

Rachel Eryn

Thank you, I am glad you can offer sellers an amazing option like this - personally I would pay anywhere $50-$75 USD as I have had business websites and the no hassle, hosting, updates, etc... is well worth $100 a month to be honest but I understand you are trying to provide a "discount" per say for being a subscriber - to get all the files on top of it is amazing as that is roughly $20 a month already so really $50 would be a $30 cost for the website which is more than a bargain in my opinion. If I ever became a seller I would definitely join this tier without thinking twice. Between fees on other sites like ETSY, clunky websites for do it yourself or square if someone is not tech savvy, all the crazy fake things on FB, and the fast growing market of 3D printing - this could set someone apart having a place to link IG, FB, MW, even ETSY and more to for new items, custom items, etc... Also I don't see anyone offering anything like this either so hope you have people jumping at the chance to get in on this amazing deal.

PixelForm 3D

I can see that quite a few people are interested, so I'll be starting this project soon! It will definitely take some time to get everything just right, but I'll keep you updated on the progress from time to time. I'll also need your help and feedback along the way, as I really want to tailor this to your needs. To start with, there will only be 10 spots available for this membership, and the price will be around €50.
