rebcorpse

omggg yess I've been waiting😭😭 tysm

rebcorpse

So I think her situation is most likely tied to her trauma from childhood, every person deals with it differently. Some may overcome it and other just ‘shut off’. They become cold, and they cannot deal with emotions or feelings like normal people do. My mom is actually similar to her and maybe that’s why I sympathize with her. My mom, to a stranger, probably feels off, she’s always serious, doesn’t smile and doesn’t show any type of emotion. I think Shin Jae i here, has become a person that can’t deal with emotions well. She’s also always talking with murderers, trying to figure out how their mind works, she’s basically trying to understand their behavior, their emotions while simultaneously dealing with her own. In the scene at the beginning I think they wanted us to see how she reacts to certain situations that to normal people would be alarming or complicated. She doesn’t seem afraid of fire even though we now know her parents died because of it, meaning she has become indifferent to it and that’s a defense mechanism people that went through traumatic situations often develop. I understand it may feel disconnected to you, I guess they could’ve wrote it better, yet is not something unheard of. Thanks for your reaction tho! Can’t wait for you to keep reacting to it! Also my favorite scenes are always the ones where Gwang-ho fights the urge to smack the shit out of Seong-Jae 😭

They finally fought 🙌 hahaha they needed to blow off some steam definitely😭😭😭 they both get to each other's nerves😁 loved your reactions! I do agree with what rebcorpse said, some people just are incapable of showing any normal emotions. That includes even saying thank you or im sorry, same with I'm okay or I'm not okay. They're basically sociopaths in a way, but that's just how they deal with their own traumatic experience. Not every person acts like this but there's some that do. I think she learned to deal with hers that way. But I 100% understand that scene could've been better if its your first time watching it. Since is my third time, in my head it does make sense. Remember you have like 10 episodes left and they do get deeper into the characters more and explain why they act like they act. The show is just starting to take off🤗

Ok so since I started watching kdramas or anything Asian I honestly lowkey let a lot of things go because in my head is like is another culture, they probably do things differently or even maybe there's just people like that so I understand how you felt haha it could've been written better definitely. Still a good episode and reaction! I'm a couple episodes ahead since I wanted to watched along side you so I'm just gonna say, it's gonna get even better! Can't wait to see your reaction to next episode!

Yeah I can see that, thank you for explaining that since it makes a lot of sense now!
