had to skip the intro, kinda illegible and incomprehensible, and not in the good "Lovecraftian" way of this story. Bad audio, should listen a couple more times through after applying a filter that ruins audio fidelity. I get that's the vibe, but that's the point if it's just basically unintelligible noise? And the length of it? Like man, made me skip like 3 minutes of content because it was a waste of time to try and decipher it. If you're gonna put all your eggs in a basket, make sure it doesn't have any holes, because that intro just sounded like a "hole" lot of nonsense. Relistens are crucial in an audio medium. It'd be like releasing a movie with too much lens flare that blinds the audience from seeing things all because you forgot to edit properly and rewatch the final product

The dyatlov pass incident was solved, it was a mini avalanche, called a slab avalanche, this happened at night and forced them out of their tent, and bc some people sleep with less cloths on, that's why they were not fully clothed.

On a d100 00 means 0 but on a d10 0 means 10 It's a bit counter-intuitive but it's so that you can get any number between 1 and 100 with 00, 1 being 1 and 90, 0 being 100.

I think I'm probably just missing something. I've always played it with the two d10s, 00 + 1 is a crit 1 and then 00 + 0 is a crit fail. Will saying he rolled two 10s made me think he'd rolled with disadvantage and got 10 + 0 as the result, meaning 10 not 100 Im so sorry if I'm just misunderstanding and not making sense haha

This really should have been a great episode. Premise was cool. But there are next to zero dice rolls and the group is just steam rolling Will. It’s not a ttrpg anymore, it’s just Matt playing pretend and doing whatever he wants. Like, how was there no repercussions to the group not speaking Russian. They just talk in english the whole time and insist they understand all the Russian conversations with no blowback. I love the show and all the cast but, come on, it’s not fun to listen to a role play power fantasy where you can negate everything

That’s the one thing that does seem kinda off. We WANT to see these characters being put in bad situations. Roleplay is absolutely important for any ttrpg, but it feels a bit more like an improv class than a *game* if that makes sense. Their actions SHOULD have consequences. The aliens being killed really should have had a sanity check for everyone, plus disguise checks etc etc

It has origins from the time period during which Poland and Lithuania formed one commonwealth nation, and can be made using all kinds of bases—sour cream, buttermilk, kefir are a few of these. You can add all kinds of fixings on top. 3. While there is absolutely Lithuanian-made vodka, another much beloved drink of pre-Soviet Lithuania is Krupnikas, a sweet, spiced honey liqueur. Maybe it’s just bc I’m a slight geography nerd but it astonishes me to know THAT little about Lithuania. Its capital is Vilnius, it is the southernmost of the Baltic countries. It is located southeast of Finland, north of Belarus and Poland, and west of Russia. The flag of Lithuania is red, gold, and green and altho the primary language is Lithuanian most Lithuanians are fluent in at least one other language (mostly Russian and English but also some Polish I think).
