Nothing confuses me more than when one of the daddies mentions certain parts of the podcast being less popular than others. Beth says that the Bigfoot part of this season was poorly received and I had no idea, since I mostly just listen by myself without following the Patreon comments/Discord discussions too closely. The idea that their excursion to the bigfoot/swamp people lab area was unpopular is so new and out of left field to me; that part was just as funny and charming as all the other parts to me! Something something ignore your haters, something something Silent Majority (without the Nixonian vibes), something something keep on keeping on!

English Muffins are good for a spread (PB, Butter, Jam) not for a sandwich. Bagel is the perfect option for a breakfast sandwich. You get different options of bagel, it's big enough to hold your egg, cheese, and breakfast meat. The hole in the middle should be a slit rather than a hole if the bagel is good. Bagel is perfect. White bread is a criminal move unless it's in a pinch

For me, it was more that I think I would have enjoyed it more if they hadn’t just noped out of engaging with any of it. They did Will dirty, and while much of it was still funny it felt like they deliberately chose the most boring way to play a situation like that. “They” mostly being Anthony and Matt; Freddy was game and Beth seemed interested in it, but the other two shut down any attempt to interact with the story hard. I’d have loved a wacky Bigfoot adventure, but instead we got them sitting in a bunker for two episodes refusing to engage.

I had an hour long convo while SCUBA diving in Mexico with this dude from NY about why the bagels in NY/NJ were so much better than anywhere else. He was so passionate without being a dick about it because he worked as a bread maker as a kid - there is a legit science about the air and the water there doing something special to the dough that no where else gets. I used to work at a donut shop and we had a gadget that just pushed the dough out in a ring shape, so the only left over dough was at the very end (whatever wouldn’t make a full doughnut). Loved hearing y’all discuss donut holes😂

As an American, you're 100% valid. I don't think I've ever had a good HOT croissant sandwich, the panini presses always use too much pressure and it loses the flakiness. They are great for (cold) chicken salad sandwiches, though!

As someone who works at a donut shop. Both sides are correct on the donut hole controversy. If we just used the holes from the regular donuts there would be enough so we do cut some “holes” specifically for that but also use the holes from the regular donuts

(Midwest USA here) Typically they're a drier, sometimes savory variation of a bread roll. Sometimes they have flaky layers, but others (like the ones we have with sausage & gravy) are more crumbly.

Breakfast tip, if you grew up on McGriddles: get griddle cakes from Trader Joe's (or whatever grocery store!) and use those as the bread. Also for the bagel haters, bagel flats rule for breakfast sandwiches.
