You know, if you want to explain away Trudy's temporary "insanity" to being something else instead, you could easily say her ability to identify others (facial recognition) was damaged temporarily and with the advanced engineering and likely coding that went into her design, it was likely repairing itself. In the mean time, before everything that code had registered everyone but Milton, because who cares about Milton. And that's the reason why she could only recognize him and not anyone else, because he would be the only one not registered to the code lmao.
