Cr1ms0n_1412

Not the final episode already😭 I loved this season so much! My favorite character was Francis (love Anthony as a player). Now that its over, any favorite characters/moments? For moments I think its end episode 23. It‘s such an emotional moment.

Kylie Martin

You guys gotta stop having finales at the same time as my birthday, it's too bittersweet. 😭

Royal Wood

Fuck. That was an ending. And tbh, I love an ending like this.

Stephen VanScoy

What an excellent finale. I can’t wait for the next campaign.

ADoubleEgg

What a fucking finale. I could say so much but don't want to put spoilers in the comments. So I'll simply say, what an ending, well done

Honking Honker

What an absolutely wonderfully bleak end for what I think is the best season of Dungeons and Daddies yet. The doo-wop cover song at the end? Absolutely stunning. Can't wait for what's in store next!

Sean McNichol

You love to hate to see it 🔥🔥🔥

Jaebett

Thank you, top notch season. You all do some much good for me and I'm sure a lot of others. Cheers to Season 3.

TheGoodJordanP

Okay so here me out: Francis the snake is Chekhov’s snake from season one

Jake.

Wow just finished and I gotta say that was an excellent ending

Gary Sifuentes

What a wonderful way to end the season. Thank you so much🫶 excited for more!

Dani Brooks

Sad it ended and struggling with accepting that ending. 😭😭 It's a me problem. I wasn't ready.

the chompie man

Been awhile since I've got that idk what to do now after an ending of a show

Dyllan Natschke

Will did a fantastic job running this whole season!!! Round of applause!!!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Xen Forest

So…. I’m devastated 😭 that was so good tho.

Maladapted

This is beautiful. It wrapped up perfectly, imperfectly

banana Peel

I knew season 3 was gonna be something special since episode one, it did not disappoint. My favorite season so far perchance

Frank

Damn feels weird not having an intro

JustAnotherRQ

I wanted so badly to have a happy ending, so I really respect you all for taking the dice as they fell on that

Henry F McCormack

Wow what an finale! Great job everyone! Now to try to emotionally recover from that ending!

Mac_Enby

Finale!!!!! I'm so nervous.

Lauren Vranas

Omg I cried at work listening to this😭😭. Phenomenal job guys, absolutely loved this season💕💕

Robert Davidson

The best in the business ladies and gentlemen!

LilacIris

So amazing Will and everyone did such an incredible job this season!

N8

So sad to see this come to an end, I adored this series! Thank you all for the incredible work and performances 👏👏👏

Jamie Burke

WILL YOU DID IT. YOU LANDED THE PLANE. GREAT JOB. SO HAPPY FOR ALL INVOLVED

StrangeledPlanet

Great finale y’all. Proof that following the dice can make something cool.

M1SSL3K1D

Idk why, but every time they reach the end of a campaign I get so sad.

Daemon H

Damn that ending was... painful. Beautiful but painful

Maricruz Sanchez

I absolutely loved everything about this episode! I wasnt ready for the ending and honestly had to stop what i was doing to process what happened. Then you hit me with a banger at the end! God I love this podcast. Excited for next season!

Reverend Chatterbones

“So, you lost your campaign. Boy, that can be tough.” (Turns over piece of paper I’m reading off of) “…. Shit that’s all they wrote.”

Darth Minx

Stellar finale!! What an ending!

Golden_Grimm

Just finished the episode and wanted to share my thoughts. . So spoilers for those who haven't listen to it yet. . Been Warned. . Out of all of the three season, this one has to be my favorite so far. I enjoyed the Dad shenanigans of Odyssey, the relatable teen drama of Spider Boyz Pisscoming. But the tone of Peachyville was something else. From the McDonald's bathroom shoot out, to saving private Mothman. It went from fun shenanigans to some depressing stuff. Some may not like it, but it was a treat to Eat. That ending after the Hagnail shot, was something else. The whole bleakness of living in a doom word and all the characters, expect puddle Blake, trying to move on in some way It was saddening, but something I an happy to experience. I was laughing one moment and then just filled with bleakness the next. The scene of them splitting up to the end song got me teary eyed. The visual of a boat heading off back to doom with a flesh ship flying off the planet, accompanied with the music was amazing! Even though the ending will definitely have haters, I am glad this is what we got for the end of Peachyville. Exicted to see what season 4 has in stored!

Kendall Hale

Congrats on the successful third season Mr. Campos!! You guys did such an awesome job, thank you for sharing with us! ❤️

IllustriousNobody

i usually hate end-of-world finales but this was honestly incredible. i laughed, i cried, and even though the world ends, what a fucking way to end an incredible season♥️ congrats to the whole dungeons and daddies team, yall are amazing and i loved this season so so so much🖤🖤

Naught Joe

What a season... There are no words for the emotional lump in my chest right now. What a ride

Maxxie Ryder

Genuinely such a lovely season with a well done ending. I love how all of you stayed true to your characters to the very end, even if it went against what seemed practical. Loved all of the work and effort put into all of this. Can't wait to see what's next. :) Thank y'all so much. (The ending music is lovely too! such a jam)

Runnin' Ryden

Beth’s scream at the cockroach was magnitudes more terrified than anything we’ve heard from her playing horror games

zo perry

way to stick the landing gang 🫶🏻 thank you for such a wonderful season, will!! looking forward to what madness y’all cook up next!!

Taco Dragons

I love Matt. You're not supposed to have a favorite podcaster but I'm this podcast he's most certainly my favorite.

Mars

This was amazing

Tyberius Carter

Had the world not ended my head cannon for either Timmy or Francis were the ones singing the intro song, like after they’ve gotten older either one of them could have become a singer because the lyrics fix perfectly for either of them especially during the point of view when it came to them out in the ocean and both characters have complicated relationships with their families specifically their mothers

Curbature

*SPOILER* I’m so glad Beth decided to take the shot purely for how thematically perfect it was since (assuming my math is right) she had a 3/4 chance of making it and they had 3/4 players alive at that point

RKMasylum

I love that ending! My god what a good story!

Jonathan Perez

I absolutely love this ending, fits so well with Call of Cthulhu

Cricket

Holy shit, great ending to a great season but was not expecting it to end on such a downer note! It was such a surprise cuz usually TTRPG pods have always happy endings but this really made the characters live with their choices. Don’t get me wrong I love a happy ending but I’ll def be thinking about this one for a while.

CHenry

This episode is so cockroach coded

zo perry

hoping a future live show gives us the adventures of trudy in the stars!!

JadeTheGem

Geez now im crying at work wtf

El-Rudo92

My Transition from crying to laughing in that short instance

Michael Loftus

I wasn’t ready to say goodbye! But holy moly WHAT AN ENDING!!!!!! Absolutely adored this entire season! 👏❤️

David Stonich

Good job will not giving them a cop out I like the somber ending, another great season.

Gmork

A twenty-one guy salute is seven guys firing three times each. So I think what Blake wanted was a forty-two gun salute.

Garrett McCown

Masterful ended. I'm over here actively trying not to cry.

Evan Cordero

Honestly, might be my favorite ending. I absolutely looooove the song at the end

Emma C

LOVE the ending, well done Will, you've been an amazing DM. Can't wait to see what's next for the podcast! ❤️

Sie

2hr finale expectations: Hell yeah! 2 hours of riveting story telling! 2hr finale reality: A mid ep intermission due to roachgate 😆

Jason Kelso

What an amazing ending, holy shit

D3monicWolf

I'm not crying you are 😭😭😭😭 This was heartbreaking. Amazing writing. I don't think this season is better than the others because it is in a category of its own. This was the best Call of Cthulhu investigation I've ever heard. Beautiful writing, acting, and an absolutely heart breaking ending. This season was beautiful. The first 2 seasons were fantastic. D&Dads is still the best podcast out there.

Jordyn May

oh my god you guys. this season was absolutely incredible. I can't even express how much joy and emotion it's brought me. the art you create together changes lives.

WesKane

This was an amazing and very emotional finale, good job on all of you. Loved all of these characters so much.

Tommeh!

I need to know Anthony’s plan cause like

Tommeh!

This is just like the time I started Dark Dice

Emily Steinke

So beautifully done 👏👏🙌🏻🙌🏻 Bravo Daddies 💛🙌🏻

Sean Skuce

DO NOT STOMP ROACHES THEY KEEP EGGS ON THEIR BACKS

Rogzilla

That last roll. I had to pause and decompress for a minute.

gerg bergles

Spoilers——- Freddy has more deaths in the cthulu universe than all the rest of the gang combined

Samantha Scott

What an absolutely phenomenal ending, Daddies!

KayTissleeping

You can see Blake and BiBi in the background of the episode art!

Nobi Wolff

Freddie stay alive challenge level IMPOSSIBLE

Daniel Giorlando

🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯 best finale??? Excited to see what you come up with next 😁

Marcus

As the number one cockroach fan, I must say that cockroaches are able to give themselves abortions and are therefore feminist icons

Marcus

That’s wolf spiders, cockroaches keeps eggs in their bod

Halophyte

[Spoilers] . . . . Heartbreaking! 😭😭😭 so bittersweet. Matt with the best fucking "dont homeschool" joke at the end though 🤣

Invader Jimm

I forgot about, "Eat." 🤣🤣

princeofmushrooms

So what’s going on his grave Brian strikes or Brian strokes Mitchel cuz he’s been called both in every episode 😂

Brian Figueroa

The ending song is the cherry on top of the finale. Really lookin' forward to the peachpit for this ep.

Hannah Brin

Well done to the Daddies 🥹🥹🥹

TyGamer63

*Spoiler* That last roll had me screaming “NOOOOOOOOOOO!” while driving on the highway. And that ending plus the song, *chef’s kiss* amazing.

James Errington

I wanted Anthony's plan so much. He fought so hard to let Francis sacrifice himself and I needed to see how dark it would go with him as a demi-god. Will still did a great job with the ending but damn I would've loved to see how off the rails Francis would go

Sage_Witch7

I was in the middle of cleaning my room when the final roll was cast. I had to stop and sit in silence for 20 mins. I am speechless.

skyler burkett

i held it together until kelsie decided to stay with bebe and milton. crying at work right now. cant wait for season 4!

Mary

holy shit

Mary

holy shit

Mary

holy shit

Not Grandma

Maybe I missed something but what happened to Relish Wet?

Mary

doomed yuri??? in my bdsm dad podcast???

ZebrAlpha

He landed the plane!!

Wizard Skringus

given what we know about Season 4, i have a suspicion we haven't heard the last from a few of the Screams

Gmork

I feel about this season the way I do about certain seasons of the Adventure Zone, in that as great a DM as Griffin McElroy is, I love seeing him as a player. Burch and Campos are both great DMs, but it was great seeing Anthony show off his chops as a player.

Clare de Lune

its really beautiful friends, you should all be proud of it, thank you

zo perry

hadn’t even considered them popping up as NPC’s next season 🤔 now that this season’s DEFINITELY not canon to the others due to how it ends, i doubt they pop up but may be a fun easter egg!

Wizard Skringus

This whole show started with universe-hopping! you never know

sailor corellia

I believe in BB and Milton. It's not over yet ✊

Logan @ Tier 1 Tabletop

Need the link soundtrack to these endings, absolutely incredible every finale

Andrew

I don’t know how to feel about the end of this. I liked it but I’m…conflicted.

Zac Watson

My favorite time of year

CopperKnight

I think its supposed to be strikes, as a bowling pun.

CopperKnight

Absolutely fantastic. This season was so fucking good.

Brian O'Neill

stunned by the ending. i think i like it. gonna need time to process but wow.

Golden_Grimm

I believe he was an agent of the outer gods that the bison wanted to stop. And he needed to get something from mothmans ship and when he got it, he wasn't needed no more

Logan @ Tier 1 Tabletop

Will. Thank you for an astounding well thought out campaign. It’s tough to articulate how much this group means to me, how astoundingly talented and funny each of you are individually, and what the possibilities of that combination are. I can’t wait to see/hear more.

Marlowe Holmes

I mean I could be misrembering but didn't his body get caught in the whole hole opening part?

Marlowe Holmes

This episode is may be my new favorite thing you guys have done. The most Call of Cthulhu way you could have done it imo. As a chronic Matt hater he probably made one of the most touching character choices in the show at the end.

Andrea Rosado Quiñones

The art and the ending is hitting me in all the feels uhhhhh, it was a fantastic bittersweet ending

Daniel Roberts

100% with you there mate. I dont know what I wanted? I just really dont know anymore

Daniel Roberts

Omg i dont even know anymore. I dont think i wanted a nice bow tie ending. But that wow. Its just heavy having no out..... like thats it two rolls to see if you hit and thats that. Great storytelling I'm just a little lost with it all. Can't wait for peach pit and alternate endings

Nastashia Fernandez

i’ve listened to a lot of dnd/actual play podcasts and this is up there with one of the best finales i’ve heard. wow. absolute cinema.

Nastashia Fernandez

wasn’t relish wet’s like… only goal to kill mothman? and he did that and fucked off??

Mathew Reyes

That would be like an episode per CD, maybe 2 if they're short, but you'd have like over 150 discs. Not saying I wouldn't love it, just probably not gonna happen cause that would be expensive af

Mathew Reyes

I love that this ending not only confirms that there is in fact a "Daddy-verse", but that this isn't the prime timeline that we see in seasons 1 + 2 cause in that timeline/daddy-verse they were successful in stopping the powers that be, otherwise their worlds couldn't exist.

Mathew Reyes

Brother! Hermano! Viva Reyes!

Wes

Maxton posts them on his Bandcamp!

Mathew Reyes

Also, I think Blake was my favorite character through the whole season, and Tony was my least favorite lmao

Hashtaggles

He said “slithers through” and I fully thought it was gonna be Chekhovs Snake

Bryer

What an end! I really liked this season. So far the seasons all bring a different heat. Beth and Matt nailed it of course. Anthony brings such a new and tragic energy with Francis. And Freddie of course starts as a goofball with Tony, and then comes back with Blake; perhaps his least unhinged and team player character yet lol. And of course Will weaving and bringing in all these cool ideas for this story. You can tell he cared a lot about it and trying to set the tone for the season even if it sometimes got carried away at the table. I feel the pain Will! Getting engrossed in your story and how you want to set the tone and then forgetting that 2/3 of the game involves wrangling in your goofball players

Vallyce

Absolutely beautiful

Thomas Morse

Rough but beautiful ending. Just like the many games of Pandemic I've never win and a lot of things that don't work out in real life, sometimes things don't turn out the way you wish. I hope Beth/Trudy doesnt regret staying true to herself and choosing the less probable but hopeful shot. Sure, there may have been better metagaming strategies to beat the bad guys, but this transcends a game to art, and I think all of the characters choices were true--just a little tragic. This one will stay with me for a long time.

Das Paco

Loved the finale! I'm not sure what I was expecting. I had a few theorys on how it was going to go but that was not one of them. Wow. (Spoiler warning) One of my thoughts was that Kelsey at the end gets pulled back to another reality due to that universe Kelsey missing a sanity roll and swapping places with her. This universe Kelsey has another go at it, while knowing the possible outcome and going with Frances's plan. Perhaps an Alternate ending?

Fif

Hey, I really liked the ending to this.

Cargbeaz

Fuck! That hit me in the feels man what bitter sweet end to a season.

frittenmelly

Whats fucked up is that the goverments haven't said the slightest thing about this happening yet

Warren Caldwell

What a beautiful ending, hit me right in the chest, first live play I’ve listened to where the party failed and it had me gripped every second

Patrick Grinder

Very Blood Music vibes near the end of the episode

Hannah Membrey

yall can remove your fist from my gut now

Perkuse

I think I missed something somewhere? Trudy shot at Mother and missed but why did cause the end of the world? The dagger was still there to be picked up by Francis? And why did the epilogue take 10 months? What happened to space dick that whoever sacrificed themselves to be a demigod was to destroy?

Kimberly Spirdione

She actually was trying to do the one in a million shot to hit the space dick, but missed. The only thing standing in the way of the space dick was, unfortunately, Zhouzel, so with him dead nothing could stop it. It took ten months for the god monster growing inside the earth to be born, which is why they had that time

Heartland Animation

Chronic Matt hater lol. Gotta say Francis really came into his own as a character here at the end of the

Zallisall

That cover of A Hole in the Stars for the Outro is a freaking banger! And what a beautiful ending. Yall have done it again!

Gem Addison

Maxton COOKED with that arrangement !!!!

Reverend Chatterbones

Shit that’s so good. It’s in Darth Vader made C-3PO territory, but for some reason I think it works here

Not Grandma

Idk but I guess to me relish wet was too mysterious to just be an agent to kill moth man and fuck off. I had bbeg vibes given his early and timely appearances throughout but feel like I never got closure.

Risotto

O, m, g!! This finale has to be my favourite of all the seasons so far. First time I didn't skip the combat - on the contrary enjoyed it a lot! - and the fact that the party lost? Was so lovely actually, very refreshing and everything just made so much sense. Ugh, really loved the scene where Trudy failed, everyone had hope then bam, what an homage to coc. Also how everyone dealt with the aftermath and the surprise at the end. Just wonderful!

CynicalString56

Will pulled off what Anthony never could. Managed to kill Freddy Twice 😂

Xavier Pestana

To add to your point, the power in the dagger could only be used to either take the shot at the space dick or for someone to use it on themselves to temporarily become a demigod and destroy the space dick themselves. Because Trudy took the shot and missed, all the power had been used up from the dagger making it null. It was a one-time use sort of deal. With the failed shot and the dagger no longer being able to transform someone into a demigod, the space dick “impregnated” Earth with a world ending entity that would take ~10 months to incubate. After that, it would grow to full power and bring about the Apocalypse.

Astropig

Incredible finale to an incredible season! Love getting a full look at Will’s DM style and experiencing this world.

Xavier Pestana

I wonder what the deal was with Marbles the Cat and if he had any significance towards the plot besides a potential kooky side quest…

Xavier Pestana

From what I understand, Relish Wet basically acted as an ambassador/conduit for The Powers That Be. His main goal was to obtain the “key” (glowing dark crystal) that was powering Mothman’s ship. After obtaining the crystal from the ship’s innermost chamber, he absorbed its power and morphed into an energy beam that blasted a dimensional rift in the sky. This allowed the “space dick” to burrow into Earth and bring about the final phase of The Powers That Be’s plan. He was essentially a sacrificial lamb that opened the rift, killing himself in the process.

Kaila Flickinger

This might be my favorite finale so far. It held a real gravitas to it. Good work to my favorite cast! 😭💕

Perkuse

I relistened and missed that Trudy was given the knife because they were talking about "taking aim" with it. I thought she was using a gun to shoot Mother. And I also thought that the one in a millio shot required them to see the space dick, considering it was in the middle of the Atlantic ocean and them in Nebraska I was really confused because they couldn't possibly have see the dick from there.

Thaddeus Pinakiewicz

Eh, took the punch out of the ending by giving Trudy an escape on the Timmy arc. They lost, should have gotten the bad video game arc ending.

Solaire

very well done loved the bitter sweet ending

Andrew Worthington

Hearing "I played X" hits so much harder then "I play X" that gives me goosebumps man

Aidan

They killed everyone dawg lol that is the bad ending. Lose outcomes aren’t inherently emotional torture porn

Aidan

Will Campos if you’re reading this you are a remarkable writer

James Arbogast

Wow I'm going to be feeling this all day. Very good. Held no punches. Going to really miss these characters and this world. Well done. Somehow just getting better and better. Love this podcast and this community. Thank you!

LN

Thanks Dads for another great season! Catch you on the re-listen 💕

Nicolette Taylor

In my extremely long mental fanfic I’m choosing to believe both groups adventures will bring them back together to save humanity. Mostly so Kelsey and Trudy can finally kiss

Patrick T

I like hearing the rest of the crew on the credits. Well done!

MrLemm

What an ending. Can't wait for next season.

Andrew

Sammmmmmmmmmeeeeeee

ytr y

Another beautifully sculpted ending

MemeticHygienist

Spoilers: Very eldritch ending: nothing is resolved, doom seems certain, and all of the characters’ wellbeing is beholden to alien beings and technologies. Can’t wait for the mystery of Marbles to be revealed.

Anthony Paoli

Oh I CANNOT wait for the Peach Pit on this one, I freaking loved this and am so excited to hear y'all's thoughts and explanations for parts of it!

k0nami_kid

ugh what a pod guys I wasn't ready for this season to end but am sooooooo stoked for when the next one starts!!! 💖 Much love to all of the daddies crew 💖

Chalk

I fucking loved the ending

Jye Hampton

Good game guys! Can't wait for the next season 💙

Noemi

i think half of them staying behind made it even more tragic, having to make that choice and see francis’ character arc after being a suicidal maniac the entire season. more emotional complexity than they all die and its sad imo

Beck

🥲 beautiful

UrdnotVick

Spoilers: And they lived... maybe... ever after... i just noticed Blake is the back with BB and take another look at who the cracks go thru specifically

The Void

I think you struck a really good balance with the ending. Excited, as always, to hear about your thought process in the peach pit. Thank you for taking us with you on yet another journey.

Joseph Baltimore

I laughed, I cried. Beautifully done you guys 👏👏👏👏

Toasty

I’d share that hope with you if Earth wasn’t already on month 9 of the space dickery…

Toasty

Yeah Francis easily could have taken the path of certain death and died in his self loathing but he took the arguably harder, more hopeful route.

Mad Seb

In Call of Cthulhu... It doesn't, almost never ends well for the players... Or the world. This was a solid ending for the type of characters we followed. Props, as old school Call of Cthulhu player ! Props ! 😎 💪🏾 🔥

D3monicWolf

I'm sorry I've heard this about roaches. WOLF SPIDERS DO THIS??

Wingoose

Jaw drop. That was a rollercoaster of emotions. Bloody brilliant series. Thank you so much. I was clapping when you all announced your names and who was who,was who,was whooooooooo. Wooohooooo. The outro song aswell. Chef kiss.

Chris

I wish there was video

Thaddeus Pinakiewicz

Yea, I mean everyone left on the world died, but some of the characters we care about escaped on the ship. Just felt to me like Trudy still got a positive end to her arc keeping her family together and alive without much personal consequence for the dice roll that doomed everyone else. Francis a bit poetic at least in going from wanting to die to being cursed/blessed with out-living the world.

Jacob Murray

My stomach hurts. I loved this ending. Thank you.

Amanda Baxter

Love this series so much!!! I have a question for Matt and Will specifically. You both have had children in recent years. What was it like balancing the creative aspects of your jobs while also adjusting to parenthood? I have a 10 month old baby, and I’m struggling with trying to write creatively while feeling so depleted at the end of the day. Any advice you can offer? Thank you!

Michael Cassidy

That was a good ambiguous Call of Cthlulu ending.

Myorp

It's always about the hole in the stars, never hole in my week were beloved funny guys show goes 💔

Myorp

To be serious great work! Awesome season, I am rotating the ending in my mind like a rotisserie chicken

Mossy_Zambo

Dude this shit was fucking great. Y'all killed it

Jett Lagg

"You're looking into the dark void of a cloak" Merch plz

Daniel B

Stuck the landing. Again!

Sam S.

My heart broke when Beth said “7” 😱😭 But very well done! ❤️ Also the cockroach side quest has me on the edge of my seat 😂 ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Sam S.

Anthony! What was the plan you shared with Beth!!?!??

FusRohNahSon

What. A. Tragedy. So good, I'm almost too happy with you all failing. What a beautiful story with a satisfyingly unsatisfying ending. The most bittersweet nothings of hope and the morally grey resignation of, bravely, choosing to try something, swallowing everything to plant a first step toward the path YOU have chosen. I absolutely loved this story yall, thank you so much

FusRohNahSon

and maybe bit redundant but I will applaud each and every decision the gang has made to go through with what we got as an ending Ill fucking DIE on this hill

Alex H.

throwing out a guess; he stabs himself, turns into a demigod, and then mindswaps again?

Kaylin Creason

That was beautiful, all. I know you sometimes joke that you’re not a real D&D podcast, but this episode—you really let the dice shape the story in a bold and stunning way. Thanks for a great season with a lot of laughs, emotion, and heart. A bittersweet ending but so, so beautiful. Great job steering the ship home, Will.

Mathew Leonard

Wow what an ending. I love the image/symbolism of the post-humans (Trudy: human turned robot; Francis: human turned Flesh Blob) leaving the planet behind while the remaining humans stayed behind to try and fight to the end. Damn. What an ending.

Stephen Saudade

OMG what an ending. Its not one i could have ever predicted. But it was an amazing ride with some of the best character choices made in all of your campaigns. And that ending. Literally in tears. I need the single now. And quick question, you okay beth?

Kodow

Noooooo its over

Andrew McDonald

This was absolutely phenomenal. That ending was amazing.

Nick Cottrell

This was an amazing season was not ready for this finale but I loved every moment

Kaylin Creason

I had a similar thought to soothe my soul after the finale. While I LOVE this ending and think it’s so true to the characters, CoC, and our players, I need a happy ending. So I like to imagine that, out there somewhere in the infinite realities, the Gutteral Screams won, and that Kelsey knows that and feels bittersweet contentment. And Trudy would know, too, if she thought about it: that somewhere out there, where fate is a little kinder and the dice roll in your favor, everyone lives.

Matthew Brakefield

Honestly have to applaud the fact that they y’all didn’t cheese a roll to make it a “happier” ending. Solid season all around and very eager for season 4.

Oliver Solomonceo

very satisfying ending in a weird way, this ending song is also really fitting. can’t wait for season four!

Kevin Macc

Gave me some real On The Beach vibes that I wasn't expecting. Amazing work as always folks!

Matt Bond

Absolutely brilliant. Thank you 🙏

IamSparloo

Yall know the “last human on earth” skin flap lady from doctor who ? Thats what I keep thinking of when they say Francis Is a skin flap over his moms face

Byron Morris

Spoilers!!! What an outstanding ending to such a rollercoaster of a season. I feel at times the gang didnt always take wills plot seriously so the failure felt absolutely in theme. I’ve absolutely adored this season and Will… well done you landed the plane perfectly.

Will Campos

Will here on the daddies account: honestly if I didn’t have daddies as my day job I would find it nigh impossible to get any creative work done with a baby at home. It’s SO tough. My wife wrote a whole 200 comic book two months after our first and I still have no idea how she did it. My advice would be take your time, don’t beat yourself up for having a slower or nonexistent output right now. One thing I have found with both kids is that the first few months are a great time for audio books, movies, music, whatever inspires your work - eat those creative vegetables right now and let the work itself come when it’s ready. good luck and congrats on the kiddo!

Madie N

I agree that something more dire should’ve happened because the shot was wrong but I couldn’t tell you what. The world is days away from complete destruction already that’s pretty awful in itself. But, Kelsey staying with the kids (possibly still on the lookout for her sister?), Francis making the conscious effort to try and make something of this second chance with Trudy (who’s stepping in as pseudo-mom), and Trudy herself already going through so much, on top of having the leave BB Kelsey and Milton behind because this whole time she just wanted to give her kids the best she possibly could and now she has a chance to do that. It was a ultimately a group decision that doomed the world all they can do after is continue to try and do what’s right even if it’s fruitless because the entire campaign has been about trying your best even when the odds are a million to one. And it’s fitting that it don’t work, they’ve had so many things go right so far it would make sense that the ball would drop sometime, it sucks that it was the big moment but it’s Call of Cthulhu, not every story is justified in the end or wrapped up in a bow.

Matthew Ramirez

Absolutely spectacular this has been my favorite season. This rollercoaster of a season was a blast I hope we revisit this system again later on but phenomenal work to everyone on this season. Once again this show has helped me through some difficult times and this one holds a special place in my heart. I was on the edge of my seat when Trudy was aiming the dagger and wondering "is Beth going to get another clutch moment like in mountains of dadness" but she didn't and that's okay! It felt right that it ended this way and I couldn't be more satisfied with this ending! I'm looking forward to the peach pit!

Hayley Abramowitz

perfect, beautiful ending to an absolute banger of a season. sobbed through the whole epilogue. thank you daddies 💜

Sierra

Wow this was great. Solid ending, felt on theme with the rest of the season. What a harsh system at times, but hey, high stakes high rewards. Great work everyone!

Nicole Sandor

Will, you knocked it right out of the park. Stellar job, everyone!

Clove

This season was a freakin masterpiece, thank you daddy gang!!!

Patrick Morris

Jaw dropped! This was an awesome season finale!

Patrick Morris

I really felt that it's a great ending for a cosmic horror type story. I don't read or watch a lot of stuff in that sort of genre but the things I have it always feel like that's kind of the way these stories end. With the heroes trying everything they can but sometimes you just can't save everything.

RuthlessRa

This was an incredible season thank you to everyone! Will killed it and everyone did so well and ofc we need to get some love for ESTER! The edits this season were incredible and kept the bits in but the story coherent! ❤️

GoblinGuy

The huge lingering question I have for the ending is how does this impact s1 and s2, since they were originally supposed to be set in the same universe? Is this going to be explored later? Is it a split timeline sort of thing? Or was it kind of forgotten/left up yo viewers interpretations? Definitely the type of ending that needs re-listens

Victor Uriarte

Will really killed it this season I loved it so much honestly I definitely want to play through a campaign myself now after it all

Amanda Baxter

Thank you so much!!! Definitely using this podcast as part of my creative vegetables!

Cassidy Bassidy

I was talking to a friend and i think its more of a split timeline sorta thing personally

Cassidy Bassidy

I NEED to see you guys explore BB, Milton, and Kelsey's last days in a comic book!! I think that would be PERFECT

Joseph David Brown

damn the people with the"end is nigh"boards must be really happy

streetdreams

So so so in love with this ending. Also with the alternate version of Hole in the Stars. 🥹 Stunning work by everyone, what a season!!!!!

Wickedspades

This was so wild, wasn't expecting that ending. Great editing and songs and everything, congrats for another great season!

Confused Daizy

I was so happy with the season and the Daddies inspired me to start my first campaign!

Marissa Y.

Apologizing in advance for this. Missed opportunity to refer to it as a spermon.... a sperm sermon.

Marissa Y.

Also, funnily enough, the OOC/B plot of the cockroach really elevated the suspense for me. The distant "I'm gonna be so brave" from Matt got me 😂

Virgil McClurken

Don't mind saying, I'm glad this season is done.

Virgil McClurken

Don't misunderstand I enjoyed some of it. I just think they can do better

TylerKiro

In one of the first few episodes I think they mentioned that depending on how it ends will determine if this is the same universe

JewBoy

What a great ending

B. J. Boyd

I think we can all agree that the cockroach is the breakout star of season three

Tonberrimo

... was Shane Silva Jr going to camp with Stinky Pete?

Molefe Sijiye

The season was so incredibly written

The Crow Witch

Trudy made such a selfish choice, not once but twice. First she dooms the entire world, and then instead of being the captain that should go down with the ship, she bails. Loved this series so much but the ending is infuriating.

The Crow Witch

I wanted two gods deuling it out for the world.

Amanda J

Did i miss something or could they have gone back to the big foot place and have forever to figure out how to fix everything?

Alec Roga

Question for peach pit- Freddy, have you got any ideas for your character's name in season 4? I would like to throw Billie Eilish into the ring.

Dahveed

Me again...

Richard (Dante) Sanchez

I really enjoyed this season. It was super fun. I think you guys playing with different formats is fun.

Joseph David Brown

question for the peach pit: for all the dads: if you had more than one kid, like Trudy, do you think you would pretend to not have favourites, lie to yourself about not having favourites, or actually not have favourites? like this comment if you want it to get in lol

Scloop

Hmmmm… I think that was a miss tbh.

Scloop

I just realised: the gutteral screams were the VILLAINS in this story! Without them the Bisons would have saved the world, with the relatively modest sacrifice of a small US town.

Holyboi

was hoping francis became dood all season lol

2026-10-13 20:00 Polarizing ending for sure, but totally a call of Cthulhu ending. I do desperately wanted them to win, but sometimes you just don’t, and sometimes you don’t die quickly, but have to slowly watch everything you love slip away. And sometimes your dead boyfriend’s family comes to save you but not the whole world. And sometimes all that’s left is two kids trying their best to hold their fragmenting world together knowing deep in their souls that they probably can’t but clinging to a dim hope that maybe, just maybe, they’ll be the heroes for once.

Francis became Cappy from that Mario game where the hat takes other people over

Lady Loon

Literally just abort the god-world-killer, cast it on the thing like you would for MOTHER. Spell-abort it.

KingofMice

I understand that the season 1 dads are the more iconic/marketable characters, but I'm curious if there's a possibility of more live shows or bonus episode oneshots featuring the season 2 kids or season 3 bowlers? I know season 2 and 3 have tighter plots than season 1 which would make it harder to shove something in, but how much have y'all really stayed firm on logic and continuity?

Iz and Ty

Wow that was incredible, thanks for another amazing season ❤️

Hezekiah_AF

That feeling of autistic "I told you so"........ Geez #relatable

Jakob Medlin

I know it just ended but I also know Anthony has been cookin like Walt while he’s been plying Francis.

Jake Kennedy

We saw a world where Zouzel was free and the bisons won. I don't know if I'd call that place "saved"

Scloop

Where there is life there is hope….

Eva Vasileiadou

As a pharmacist, that vaccination joke was fucking hilarious

Amazing

Adrianna Owens

Just because it wasn’t a satisfying “win” doesn’t mean it was a miss. Very Cthulhu in my opinion. At the ends of many of these stories there are questions left unanswered or battles lost. So goes. I thought it was beautiful.

Adrianna Owens

I think there’s something so beautiful about an ending where there’s no win & the characters have to face the fact that they lost. Heroes coming to terms with the fact they can’t go back and undo what was done. There are real stakes.

Adrianna Owens

Will’s phrasing after the shot fails gave me chills. The 30 seconds after the first 30 seconds feeling longer. Beautifully said. I’m so emotional over this ending and it’s perfect in every way.

Christopher Lee

Cannot wait for the end of year bonus campaign

Julia Feist

I wish they said epiderminomocon more times

Grrafe

I think a lot of people could say that the Gutteral Screams were the villians or that they made the wrong choice, but I truly believe the chance to be totally free from all greater evil was well worth the risk of total death, because that's what it was with every other option anyway. Humanity would lose itself to some horrible cosmic entity dominating it, and lose what it means to be human. In it's place, what it means to be lesser than; not a servant, not a worm, not the least life can be. Humanity would be wiped out by the existence of something greater within it's perview, as we saw with the bisons, using the townsfolk for their means to an end they only BELIEVED would save humanity. It was always all or nothing, because life under heel is not opportunity, it's loss. Taking the shot was the only choice that could grant the world the freedom to exist as it was, to have a chance to choose their lives and their own ends, and that was always worth it. Why not shoot for the stars in an impossible situation? Or in this case a giant fucking dick that's literally fucking. Who even knows if it was edging itself for a while. Maybe that's the only reason they had the shot. Surely it's had experience doing this. Regardless, spectacular ending. I love taking the chance to truly save the world. It's a hard call, but I'll always believe it's the right one. I wouldn't settle for less for a world that, despite all of it's flaws, I love.

Whachamacallit

SPOILERS Man I love that ending! The second Trudy decided to go with the 1 in a million shot, I was hoping that they would fail--and not out of maliciousness, but because it was so suitable for a horror podcast. And the imagery of the changing world made me think of how fucked things get in Look Outside.

PudinnPurin

SPOILERS I need to rewatch this season, but at the end I’m left with a question: I remember there was a book with the names of how and when people would die and Kelsey wasn’t in that book. If it was a thing left behind or it was addressed and I don’t remember. Other than that, spectacular season. Sad that it ended, and waiting for the next one!

Ellen Martin

like everyone has already said, wow! and ouch! that ending hit like a truck. [SPOILERS] at first i was a little upset that the team was gonna "get away" and leave everyone behind on earth, but matt's choice to have kelsey stay really saved that moment for me. it felt like less like a "get out of jail free card" and more like a real character decision. such a complex, tragic, beautiful ending to an absolutely fantastic season! will did a great job dming and everyone was so on fire with their characters. timmy's letter to trudy did make me cry and im tearing up now thinking about what a tragic end it is for them. yes they lived but they have to carry the burden of the world they left forever! kelsey staying as a teacher and protecting the kids felt so true to her💔 and francis taking the, as someone else said "hopeful, arguably harder" path after everything he went through was really something. gotta love freddie continuing to die for the cause no matter what. fantastic season! so excited for the peach pit!

I_am_Quinn_t_senntial

all I can say is wow. For the third time in a row (fourth if you count re-listening to season 2) the finale has brought me to tears. You all are nothing but extremely talented individuals with a knack fo storytelling. Thanks for an awesome couple of years and can't wait for season 4!!!❤️❤️

Tasonder Vindel

No intro episodes hit so much harder than i thought they would holy

Eddy B

This was such a good season… and the finale was on point! Loved it

Claire Wilson

You throw your horrible skin kite on the frog and you're the frog!

Duncan Hayton

Such a brilliant season, plot, characters, music, intros everything was brilliant! Thoroughly enjoyed it, cannot wait for season 4

Kevin

After 3 seasons of this, it’s genuinely impressive that Freddie’s character managed to survive the entirety of S2 lol

Jon Stadil

Can we finally get “A hole in the stars” on Spotify now, pleeeeaase???

Shoshitake Takeyani

I really wanted Trudy/ Beth to trust Francis/ Anthony in the final decision. I know they wanted Francis to have his own life but there really was nothing for him to live for. He lost his parents, has no friends except Shane at the end but there really isn’t anything there. I wanted Francis to be the God and save Earth cause I really believed he could do it. That plan had unbelievable confidence behind it and maybe they’ll do an episode that goes through with it but I doubt it. Regardless of what I think the ending was beautiful. How the world slowly degrades into madness and mutations and the people in it choosing religion or sacrifice or just accepting fate is so sad but it’s realistic. I truly hope either groups finds whatever their after in the aftermath

ibiri

What an amazing season. 100% would love to see another call of cuthulu game. Everyone did a great job and the ending was a big ride. Congrats guys! Can't wait for the next one!

Nic Emestica

Fucking devastating. I loved it so much

eatmygerms

Not winning really makes sense for Call of Cthulhu tbh

Lyle Kiser

Britannica Blue beat up Encyclopedia Brown at some point.

errly.sleeper

What if?!? The dagger was Brunhilda from another reality trying to make amends for the atrocities of her others? Sore and sadly used through history until she found John on the battlefield?

S

Fantastic ending to a fantastic season

Melinda Gustafson

God, that was a phenomenal finalie! Just an amazing season all around. Well done, everybody!!

Marissa Y.

Can't remember if this is the episode, or if its the previous one with Freddie's "This is how men relate to each other" song, but I just want to say..... if you love that song, PLEASE watch Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. It's full of them!

Alvin Bo Balvin

Great episode. Gosh I loved the ending song so hard.

Rose

Gutting ending but the right one, I think! Thank you for another great season

the lubricated eldritch rat

gut wrenching ending but honestly could not have imagined it any better, beautifully done

Julia

this was such an epic story, thank you so much!!!

drmimms

Holy shit! What an incredible season and an amazing story.

Angel.7zip

Such a beautiful ending. I don't get how people would see it as unsatisfying just because it is bittersweet or not good. Such is the way of life, sometimes you just have to roll with the punches, and make selfish, bad choices. In the end, this was the most satisfying ending in my opinion, not a perfect end, but a good one. Almost made me cry.

Pnugg

Absolutely stellar season you guys. Will, you’ve fuckin got the juice bud.

Zaxton Rothberg

Absolutely lovely, I enjoyed this season so much guys. Can’t wait for the next one!!

Jason Doty

Yoooo let Tony cook. I literally cheered.

dell erlam

how on earth am i supposed to be normal after this. i have to work tomorrow and i'm supposed to just act like i didn't have all my organs ripped out on an emotional level

Liz M

Oof... gutterball. Sorry, Trudy!

Samuel Rhodes

This NEEDS a motion picture adaptation

Marie-laurence Rivard-Fortin

God... I was alone on christmas night and thought : oh, I'll listen to the last episode of the third season! I never got to finish it. It'll be like passing christmas with friends! 😐😶 Excuse me while I go just.. kill myself I guess 🥲😅😅

Marie-laurence Rivard-Fortin

OMG!!! THE END! I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT!!! HAHAHAHA ALSO THANKS FRANCIS FOR THE PEP TALK! I guess my christmas wasnt too bad after all hahahaha forget about my previous joke 😅

Abby Van Roy

I was like "well I made it through the trauma of the holidays and now I have to work this will be fine" ha lmao I should know better three seasons in

TheUltimateXman

Insane! Also, I really hope you actually do the video game adaptation!

Sata Prescott

I love the kinds of ending where despite everything it just doesn't work. Sort of Devilman Crybaby.

Lauren Elise Art

Looking at the broken picture illustration while the end song plays stirs emotions I still don’t know how to describe

S Rob

Didn't they say that it was the same unless things go horribly wrong, then it's not?

Albert Orellana

Third time listening to the whole season again. Doesn't episode 9 start with a perspective from the future? So I'm believing there is a solution despite this ending

Bex Boster

Omg that reprise is amazing!!

Bex Boster

Always when they do their own sign outs .. 😭😭😭

Emilio95

Not just mothmen, but mothwomen and mothchilderen!

Kyna

phenomenal dming this whole season will

Naught Joe

I just finished relistening to the full season, and it was an absolute trip. Knowing how it all ends made every victory, and last-minute clutch so bittersweet... I knew how it was gonna end and I still cried. I really hope we get to see Trudy and Timmy again in the greater cosmos. Or that BB and Milton really did pull of a hat trick and at very least escape. 🦝🥰🥰🥰😭

Mr. geht dich Nichts an

Well, we at the very least know that it was pulled off in some time branch. Since the ending of mountains of dadness was referenced multiple times, and those were the grandparents of the season one dads. Could very well be a parallel universe, but until thats established in cannon, it'll be my head cannon that the kids pulled it off somehow

Mr. geht dich Nichts an

I hope we get to know what was up with the cat and what happened to Brunhilde in the future. This was a wild ride. Money well spent

Samuel Rhodes

This season is so friggin amazing, super stoked for the next one

corundum liqueur

I think it would be funny if each season the number of women characters increased by 1 so season 1 is four dads, and by season 5 everyone is playing women

Natalie Oulman

I literally weeped at the end. Thank you Will for DM’ing a beautiful season.

corundum liqueur

I would like some three-ring circus themed merch

Joel Servey

What an epic campaign. Love you guys amazing finale Will!

Jasper Hulme

Will should be so proud holy shit. It took me like 3 months to finish the finale because I didnt want my fave campaign to end. im so excited fo s4 but this campaign was really amazing and the fact it went the way it did... I am experiencing a lot of feelings and I'm just gonna miss these folks a lot, maybe we'll see a few of them again in the stars 💗✨️

Colleen Byron

More like dungeons and saddies. Thanks so much for another fantastic season!

Amy Arpan

The total break for the horror show at 57 minutes with the real life cockroach was amazing.

Ashes

The outro had a real “Don’t Feed the Plants” feel to me 🪴

Mika Aapakallio

the tradition of holding it together until I hear Beth do her sad voice holds strong🩷 Kelsey and Trudy were the strongest duo of the season for sure

Tinyhumanbrain76

WILL UR A GREAT DM AND U SHOULD BE PROUD OF RUNNING AN AMAZING CAMPAIGN!

Lauren Wright

I know on the previous peach pit, they said they thought this ending would be divisive but I feel confident in saying that this was 1000% satisfying for a Call of Cthulhu type game and storyline. Will congrats. You landed the plane.

Nubzly

What a great ending. I felt some plot threads dragged on but ultimately a fantastic season!

Joji Geode

I can't believe how perfect this ending was especially with it being so unconventional

Zane Woody

Really don’t like this ending but I guess that’s the point

Jonathan Dasani

Honestly, I lived for the Brian x Kelsey rivalry

Cai Poppy

I think there’s something really beautiful and profound about Trudy—someone who has been struggling with the concept of her own humanity—being the one who in the end made a selfish and inherently human choice. Even if it did result in the end of the world. Beautiful season🩵

Trevisty

What a beautiful ending will you did amazing still sad that I think in almost every campaign Freddy has died. This ending fit the story very well and all good stories don’t always have that happy ending

Marissa Y.

SPOILER Hard cut back to episode 1: "Your kids are the future, and I'm gonna be there", and Francis getting inspiration from Trudy saying she would take him in 😭

Daniel Calhoun-Munster

Everytime I’ve listened to this episode, I always get so emotional.

Broden Orr

TBF I would probably lose my mind entirely if I were stuck in an enclosed space for several days

Broden Orr

"considering going early, but changing my mind cause.. i get to bowl with you guys" is such a great fucking line.. bravo Anthony. I think Francis might be my favorite character in any Actual play

Broden Orr

this stupid fucking podcast has me bawling and laughing my ass off during the whole prologue sequence

Broden Orr

Genuinely, I respect the hell out of the daddies for having the balls to end the season with utter failure. A lesser podcast would've done 5 more episodes and found a way for the heroes to win. The ending to this is so crushingly relatable and devastating. It just makes me think about all of the wonderful people i've let walk away due to my failure in communication

Cirric Mordecai

I know this comment is late, but I wanted to put this somewhere. Every time a season of dungeons and daddies ends, I get emotional. I think back on all the moments and challenges and joyeous moments I went through listening to the podcast and when the season ends, it also feels like a chapter of my life ends. I started listening to the podcast when I had newly learned that I was going to be a dad myself, 3 years ago. Since then, I've moved multiple times, graduated college, and even had a second kid. Also to mention that VGHS was a core memory of my childhood and The Law was frequently quoted in my house. I hope you 5 know by now how meaningful what you make is to me and so many of us. So heres to all the dads, honorary dads, and this motley crew that brought us years of entertainment. Onto the next chapter.

Cryptidwithacappuccino

I started listening pretty recently and just caught up on S3, and what a poignant, beautiful, appropriate and well-crafted end to a brilliant journey. I’ve really loved all three seasons for their own unique approach and storytelling, but the ending of this one hit me in a way that really worked, similarly to the character depth and emotional exploration of Ron in S1. I love how deftly this podcast somehow juggles absurdity, humour, emotional depth and tragedy. Thank you for the ride on S3, I’m so excited to get stuck into S4 and catch up! (I may need a minute to process first though 🥲)

Joe

Who else coming back after the latest episode of season 4

Fava and Bedderman

I'm sure I'm not the only one back here after season 4 episode 17, say hi!

I hate Italians

Here after the season 4 twist who’s with me

Atticus Jackson

here after the latest grandpas and galaxies episode. man.

Evil Ashley

I have been consuming DnDads content consistently since probably April or May, so im just now getting here. Scared to catch up actually lol. Will ended up being such a phenomenal DM. I always get nervous at changes like that because it can totally kill a series for a while sometimes, but it ended up incredible. -- --spoiler-- -- Thank you for allowing failure. Im sure the instinct to find another out to still save the world was strong but its so satisfying to see everyone take the dice roll seriously and take the loss. The Call of Cthulhu system is something I never heard of before and I am sort of obsessed with it; I love how grueling and unforgiving it is.
