My only gripe with Francis being The Sculptor is that the lyrics of A Hole in the Stars work really well if you read them as being from the perspective Dood in season 2. However this new implies that they're from Francis's POV and they don't work as well for that.

It’s been a sec since I listened to it, so forgive me if I’m missing anything But essentially they were trying to land a “million to one shot” to kill an eldritch god. Because of a low dice roll, they missed and the S3 Earth died. Francis, Trudy, and her son escaped on a space ship (with Mothmen in case that becomes relevant ☠️) Kelsey stayed behind to try and find a solution/protect the kid NPCs, and Blake had died during the final battle. Also, Francis got body swapped with his dad who had become a flesh monster thing, so... idk if that’s helpful 😭

One movie moment that made a huge impact on me as a kid for some reason is in Star Trek the motion picture when they finally meet v'ger and it's the voyager space probe. The whole things just stay around out in space thing is very cool

Personally, I do think movies and games and stuff have gotten more enjoyable in the last 30 years. I think there's bias generationally for every gamer, but when I first played Skyrim I enjoyed it considerable more than I had ever with a game, and I already loved games. Since then Skyrim has not been topped for me, but I do think I have enjoyed aspects of things I love in Skyrim even more in other games, and many of them are things that were not technologically possible when Skyrim came out. Like the level of immersion in RDR2. Sure a lot of it is just better graphics that don't usually affect enjoyment, but in RDR2 I would say it actually does because it's extremely relevant to the artistic intent of the game. I'd also say movies have gotten better. I think EEAO is the peak movies personally, and I think with long running things like Batman and Spider-Man, their most recent movies are the best. It's all completely subjective and very dependent to specific people and specific groups, but for me I'd say media trends upward in terms of quality. I will say that personally, I am a lot less of a fan of classic things as other people. A good amount of things hold up for me, like, but a lot of classic and beloved things really do not entertain or move me like they do others.

This has gotta be one of my favorite twist villains ever. The speech Francis gave to reveal it was so fucking good. The concept of Anthony's character from Will's campaign being the villain in his own, is such a unique thing and also gives so much payoff to S3's ending in multiple ways. It also feels so natural. Alternate earths were established in S3, Francis went to space, and him becoming The Sculptor requires no suspension of disbelief in terms of personality and motivation. Speaking of, his motivation essentially stemming from the end of S3 is so cathartic. I loved the ending, but like Francis I was also devastated to see that world end purely from bad luck. And all the little references and hints Anthony dropped are so good in hindsight. I never was mentally comparing to Willie tbh, but now that it's brought up, this absolutely outdoes it as a twist IMO, and maybe even as a villain altogether.
