In the space of just one episode, Anthony so perfectly captures the cringing horror of a tween being embarrassed by their parent, and the isolated agony of being a traumatised queer kid. If I ever hear this episode and don't cry my heart out, that's a sign that I've been replaced by a robot.

Shout out to Matt this episode -- lots of props to the Grant/Yeet situation here but Daryl's conversation with the other dads is something I think about a lot and represents some more realistic parenting about how much a parent discloses to their kid.

This episode's game was such a fantasy fulfilment for me, because I never bothered to learn rules and always thought "well, it you were to have 5 balls and less players, this would be a cooler game", or stupid shit like that. Or "add a bunch of wolves on the court if they don't score fast enough". Cheesing this game was SUCH a great moment. Also, Ron is a master of cutting tension through the whole series, I love Beth.
