They retconned Yaddles retcon in Tales of the Jedi. She was killed by Dooku and did not speak at all like Yoda, which raises some questions.

It's soooooo much better than random d20 black and white rolls. It makes way more sense to roll your skill level versus a difficulty and allows for FAR more narrative game play. If you're not creative or not a good improvisor, then I can see how it would be rough. I have had so many situations in the ffg system where I failed a check but got enough advantages to make other cool things happen. Like on the brink of death and my last final swing of my vibro sword misses but I got a triumph. That allowed me to narrate hitting the ceiling and dropping down electrical wires that incapacitated the droid that was about to kill me. So much better than "oh I needed a 13 to hit but rolled a 12 boo hoo."
