This is quality, can we please get more of these? As in y'all talking about dming

Aylis J Lind

I would also like more of this You are such a creative crew with a pretty punishing schedule and like, families and stuff, but as someone who started as DM and became a writer, I am fascinated to see how these thing work when professional writers explore DMing.

Eddy B

Ron's box 🖤

Deborah Parker

Man, I wish I had found you guys earlier. My DM style has become more relaxed, thanks to you guys. I'm sure my players would have appreciated that happening sooner. 😆

Joey Swanson

I love that Anthony called us all his Fin subs lol thanks, daddy

Cameron Jones

I feel like I'm not the only A/V guy that would appreciate a techy video by Freddie on how he records and edits, or does that already exist?

Alex Wilkins

Episode 2 of Fetch Quest Spoiler alert!

Will Campos

ooh good catch, made a note of it in the post, thanks!

Jessy Lukens

Damn who else is a creative bather? I'm literally taking a hot bath balparking ideas for my 5e game listening to this

Patrick Hamilton

This was so cool!! I'm trying to get a campaign together to DM and have been looking for pointers, thank you guys so much for making this!!

Jake W

That gasp that Will made at 34:21 when he found out that Anthony is a creative bather 😂😂😂

ScoVerse

I’ve said this before but no matter what the content is I think I just enjoy hearing these 5 just talk. They have such a weird chemistry that makes everything work. Love it!

Daniel B

Thanks for the insight on being a DM. I guess I'll need to take creative bath some time soon. Fingers crossed I get good story out of it.

Mason Dyck

I could not agree more, I could watch them do their taxes and it would be fun

kinkeyding

My five favorites, henry, Anthony, paedon, walter and will

Toriiish

I just love listening to these people, even talking dads, love to hear these brain storms/discussions!

Camden Maccagnone

Did they release them playing Kids on Bikes? Or is that for higher tiers of the Patreon?

JACOB MEADE

This is great content. Thanks for the inside perspective!

bent

this is so cool to hear, hope im not the only one taking notes

An_Armed_Bear

Making sure everyone is on the same page about what kind of tone/style of game they want is exactly what a Session 0 is for. You can nip problems like "A good party with 1 murderhobo" in the bud right there.

bbsincere

highly appreciated, thanks! very much looking forward to the next "debate me, coward" :)

Ryan Holm

I loved the insight on combat. That's always been a struggle. I've got a session tomorrow and already a few gamechangers in here.

Kat

Yay! Content! I don’t DM but I do write, and that discussion on combat was very cool and helpful from a normal writing perspective as well! Thank you!!

Marcus Hart

This shows (Daddies) was honestly the thing that lead me to run my school’s DND group with my wife This stuff helps so much with us prepping

Jealous Virgin

I really like how Anthony runs combat, personally. So much time for the session gets wasted on combat, and Anthony does a great job of speeding it up and making it meaningful.

kiarra burd

I'm about to pop my DM cherry so this was super helpful for me, especially the anxiety section and the discussion about your main narrative goals in a campaign. Thanks for your insights guys! 🤸

Hasan the Fox

I think it's better to sniff your wrist than coffee beans. Your wrist is quite neutral unless you're like Will and have new species of bacteria unknown to man, but I think it neutralizes the scent better. God I tried so hard to not say "well actually".

Tom Abella

The problem Anthony mentioned wi h one player not syncing with the other players tone is the kind of thing to get sorted out in a Session 0. I would recommend talking about setting a consistent tone for the game, and that you're more interested in getting everyone aligned to a single tone than you are interested in a particular one. Tell the two stories about past game mismatches and how they're both a drag for everyone (1 player being either way too serious or not serious enough) and how you want to avoid it. By framing it this way, you can help the more individualist players realize that they have an impact on others by being something super unique. I'd close with the framing you used in he episode, something like "So is everyone ok with the theme of 'It's Always Sunny in Faerun'?" Tying a bow around it like that can help players buy in.

Wow thanks so much for doing this it was not only super interesting to hear but every time I listen to you guys I’m like wow okay how can I make my dnd campaign more fun like what you guys do. so to hear some of the thought processes and stuff it was really neat :)

Jake

This was SO COOL. would love more of these

Jake

This is honestly my favorite bonus content yet. I’ve now listened to it twice through
