Comedy was awesome Anthony good job need Matt to make up his fuckin mind though his ass is always the one making split decisions that derail literally everything he was trying to do leading up to the moment and it just didn’t make sense that scary says one little thing and that just changes his mind he’s been shitting on her for weeks now and she didn’t say anything new info we didn’t already know link hates Willy and has constantly expressed he hates scary so why in the fuck would he start now in one of the most pivotal moments? I don't understand this argument at all. linc spent the whole past several episodes getting more and more disillusioned. he just had his leg chopped off and was so tired of wasting time that he said 'fuck soccer' (the one consistent interest he has) and decided to call the game early to pursue the pick. scary making the argument that violence is the quicker, easier route compared to empathy after linc has spent several episodes becoming more and more jaded, especially when he just had his leg cut off and when every attempt at empathy before has just wasted their time? I think it makes a lot of sense as a character decision, and I'm really excited to see where it goes next week. I don't understand at all how this is out of nowhere if you've been paying any attention to how he has been roleplaying his character. To each their own and all that it's a character choice you can dislike but it's definitely been built up to

What I love is how “comical” the past few episodes have been. Freddie fighting himself, saying the b word, playing soccer in hell. And then to cut the episode on a real note, Lincoln breaking the Pick, was a very enjoyable thing to happen. It created tension for me because it was unexpected and a big change of pace.

I understand what ya mean by the jaded stuff because of what’s going on but like the bigger picture of this whole story is that they are righting the wrong that their parents did in the first place and he’s been on the side of fuck our parents or of anyone that gets in the way of us doing things the right way I mean the WHOLE show since the beginning link has been the main one to say fuck Willy and now because like two things haven’t gone their way he’s just straight up evil and on Willy’s side? Like the gravity of the fact that now he’s on the side thats willing to be complacent in mass extermination of a whole realm is fucking bonkers to me. Like scary is disillusioned and manipulated by Willy I get that but link and normal have been voices of reason. I don’t think YOU have been paying attention cuz last time I checked billions of lives on your hands doesn’t equate to hurt feelings and losing your leg… if it’s just me it’s just me that’s fine I’m supporting them no matter what even if I disagree with some stuff story wise love this podcast literally the only one I listen to

Oh no, I get that, but ehhh I think it's too early to call what's going through Link's head either way? As for the mass extermination thing, I'm presuming they believe getting rid of the anchors is a way to get rid of the doodler WITHOUT doing code purple, unless I misunderstood something somewhere? But the argument that convinced Lincoln to break the pick was that LESS lives would be lost, so it wouldn't make sense for him to break the pick at all if he really believed millions would die in the process. Scary also seemed to genuinely believe less people would die by choosing the path she was going on, and that their parents are the bad guys, not Willy (and based on the evidence she has, that's fair). I presumed this was him choosing the quicker, easier, less-casualty ridden path, but of course, Scary's being manipulated, and Willy definitely has some shit up his sleeve regardless. But this could also be me shooting out of my ass and be completely proven next ep haha I just think it's very possible (and more likely) that Linc could agree that breaking the anchors is the best course of action and still dislike Scary and Willy. I think he's getting to the point in his disillusionment that he doesn't really like or agree with anyone at all (which, hell, definitely evens the playing ground with him and scary)

now that I've had almost a week to sit on it, this is my new favorite episode easy. maybe thal change later because half of why I like it so much is just hype for things to come, but oh MAN I'm excited for the next episode in a way I don't think I've ever been for anything. I've GOTTA know what happens next. every episode makes me feel worse and worse for scary, devastated for normal, and as the world's biggest Lincoln Li-Wilson stan, this episode was ESPECIALLY emotionally hogwild. I am in turmoil in all the best ways possible, which is incredible considering I'm not a big fan of combat episodes most of the time. So excited to see how the show progresses from here. I’m not a fan of re-using the same song for a second episode intro tbh And dropping a big lore point in the intro (“Birdie”) would have been great if we then learned more in the episode itself, but instead it was just ignored. It’s annoying to be left hanging for an indeterminate amount of time. Love that Link broke the pick daaamn! And the Glen/Jodi sibling fight energy is always a treat. Love it ❤️
