Choose this month's Perfect Run Past Fragment interlude!

1) Leaf & Seed: A Superhero Western

2020, Nevada. The United States have collapsed, torn apart by superpowered warlords, young republics, and cyborg empires. Tom Rangers is a young normie struggling to survive, in a small mining town enslaved by a Psycho Genius. His prayer for a better life is answered by the arrival of the superheroine Leaf, a Genius bounty hunter with an armor of wood and a flower ship. As they say, every knight needs a squire...

This interlude would be a self-contained side-story set in the United States roughly at the same time as Ryan's story, exploring another continent.

2) No Planet for Old Men

2005. A man in Vatican is asking himself questions. What are these secret reports of demons, magical potions, and "Alchemist"? Who is this strange woman that seems to be in multiple places at the same time? And what does this strange "wonderbox" contain? Little does he know, that Judgment Day has come for Earth.

This interlude would show the apocalypse through the eyes of a future Genome, as he watches the world slowly (and then quickly) collapse around him.

Both sound amazing! I went with 2 though...

Can we expect cameos in these stories. Maybe a Dalton child or Kairos reference. Victor did have demon kids after all.

Alexander Dupree

Both sound great but I'm a fan of apocalyptic storylines

Dylan

Gah, both sound so good. Actually first one would be a great side story vs just a chapter

BlackFire13th

Void, why must you make us choose? Both are great and would provide some very much desired background about the world.

Thousand Odysseys

Why must we choose??? 😱 The both sound amazing!!!! 🤩

Now I really don’t like serious cowboy stories. But with Ryan, or in other words with an aloof idiot like him, it would’ve become a funny shitshow like no other, which is exactly the kind of western I would’ve liked. But eh. No Ryan, no western.

Lohis

i want both

Both sound really great. I voted for no planet for old men but would be really thrilled by the western
