Hi guys, no Bestiary entry today... instead you get to choose the next one! As Plato is on the verge of a new transformation, it's up to you to decide which form our dear starter Pokemon will take! The winner will become Plato's new metamorphosis and receive its bestiary entry.

1) Carabas Cait, King of Cats (Fencer Path)

After many tribulations, his meowingness' royal bloodline has finally been acknowledged by mice and men! All hail the king of cats, beloved by all human minions, and whose cute stare robs foes of the will to fight! Combining graceful swordsmanship and royal fluffiness, the Carabas Cait will make a swiping impact on any team!

- His powerful King's Shield will protect a loving minion from silly ailments and other nasties!

- His regal cuteness will rob enemies of their will to fight!

- His mastery of the Meowing Fencing art will decimate foes with new elemental attacks!

2) Rakshasa Kitten, Prince of Thieves (Rogue Path)

Half mini-tiger, half magician, all winner, the Rakshasa Kitten is the sneakiest cub in the world! A rogue, a fighter and a mage united in one fluffy package, this tiny little prince will steal your heart and come back for more! His magic tricks will lower your guard before the fatal swipe, but how can't you forgive this cute little hairball full of love?

- His pawerful illusion magic will trick friends and foes!

- His adorable martial art will let him hop around the battlefield and swipe the enemy in the back!

- His whiskering heists will steal enemies' buffs and hopes!

Void Herald

He's never going to get these sweet sweet megafauna fangs ;)

Ervin Ughy

Well, if he had to choose, I think he'd pick the tiger cub. That has the most potential to growing into a large tiger. Also, wouldn't illusion magic count as a spellcaster for the Witch Coven? That would be a bonus for the party, and besides, we don't have any illusionists yet, while most of the party are heavy hitters. We need more deception!

David Burchfield

Mechanically anything that protects Basil from ailments is top priority, but I really like Rakshasa for a couple of reasons. 1. Tiger potential, Coven Potential. 2. Flexibility and deception instead of raw power is more interesting. 3. Ties to hindu religion which is relevant because of the Trimurti system.

Ervin Ughy

Illusion magic is severely underutilized in fiction. I'd love to see what Void does with it. Also, if Plato can trick friends too, Basil could go Warp Spasm, and Plato could guide him away from the others. Or just hide everyone else. There's potential there

Thomas Issa

But there’s a risk that with latest tamer perk warp spasm would affect the entire party making them all go berserk

Ervin Ughy

Right, forgot about that. But if he could make the whole team invisible, then only the enemies could be targeted. Bit risky and convoluted, but dammit, I want to see the whole team rampage.

We have to go with the tiger/thief. Plato role in the story will bloom so perfectly. Hes already the snarky one now he will be able to force everyones hand with his cat selfishness and mischief. We have the greed monger, sexy magic girl, big brute bear, loyal sidekick, big lovable dragon, we need a mischief maker. Especially when were dealing with the best author for mischief. Great books all of them big fan!

Ikit Claw

he wants to be king and the ability to protect from debuffs is really good now

mhaj58

Which generation of Pokémon is your favorite to play? Mine is a tie between 3rd and 4th gen.

John Pratt

I think Prince of Thieves leaves more room for growth then King of Cats. Like literal growth, because we know that's important to Plato.

Void Herald

I don't really have a favorite generation Pokemon wise (more like some pokemon I like better than others), but Emerald is my favorite game in the series alongside Pokemon Arceus.

Daniel Everest

Royalty is nice but a proper arcane trickster is better in this case. Plus since he's a spellcaster he could join the coven if he learns a witchcraft spell.

Massgamer

King of Cats good because it helps protect against negative status effects for Basil, the major weakness of his maxed out Tamer class
