Alright, last month Tony asked us how long does it take us to pack for a month-long freeflight trip? And that's a loaded question so I decided to document our packing process as much as I could. With Capri's birthday celebrations (we celebrated before we left with her friends) AND Easter weekend, it was a lot of start and stopping... but here's the general idea.

Hint: The huge stainless cage is for my next project bird...

Prepping for a Flight Trip

Did Capri really not know that Prim was on the back of her head? Hilarious either way 😄

I got tired just watching this video! That's an incredible amount of work you do - and still have time to journal and read and raise a daughter and post here and post there and... just wow.

I wonder if only you could show your birds reaction to your activities ie Dave working with electric saw and tools , and you moving back and forth carrying stuffs to the trailer. If it were my flock, there would be gruntings / shriekings / alarm calls , and some other behaviors. Though they are getting a little better now, because I have done some desentization for them , but there are still quite a lot of those reaction if we have to do some work in front of their cage.

I’ll think about doing this in the future, they’re pretty used to us doing all sorts of things though. But every once in a while the conures or Cressi will alarm call. It’s usually moving bubble wrap for Cressi. 🙃
