This month we've listened to you and opened our Q&A to our Bondi, Rocko and Morgan tiers to test it out and see how it works at this tier. It may or may not stay here, we will see how it goes this month and based on the feedback we receive we will make a decision for next month.

In the comment section below, leave a question for us and we will answer it in a video later this month (posted to the Rocko and Morgan tiers)! Your question can be for myself, Dave or Capri or all 3 of us. Please remember to keep it to a single question per account.

I have a flock of 3… handfed 2, added the 3rd adult a couple months later … she refuses to step up on my hand but loves scritches. Any advice ?

What is considered officially converted to fresh chop and pellets before removing all other seeds? (I hope this makes sense)

After being freeflight trained, if I were to clip Phoenix, do you think he would try extra hard to do the things he knows and realizing he can’t he would eventually learn helplessness?

Is it possible to add a step to the “wave” training to imitate “Give me 5.”? If anyone could do it, it would be you and Doug.

What are your feelings about using “Bird sounds” videos to keep your bird company? In my case, I have a new Budgie

so i have a very fearful 1 year old quaker that will not let me even come close to the cage to try target, and he will not take anything from my hand in or outside the cage your videos share targeting a scared bird but not how to start if you can't even target, can you address that? thank you

My 9 mos parrotlet loves to land on my head. When we are flight training he always goes to my hand, but if we are just hanging out at home he usually lands on my head. He comes right down when asked so it's easy to get him off, but I'm wondering if there is a training sequence I could work with him on to not land on my head. It would need to be something I do when we aren't officially flight training because when we are in that mode he always goes to my hand. He's fast so often times he's at my head before I can get my hand out to have him land there!

I’ve always been curious how people in general come up with the ingredients that make up parrot diet/food? Do veterinarians make recommendations based on wild parrot diets? For example, a lot of the lower grade pellets have corn as the main ingredient (something we feed chickens and ducks) while some of the higher grade food has alfalfa as a main ingredient which is part of horses’ diets. I’ve always understood the seasonal vegetable idea but never grasped where pellet ingredients come from. I love your heart for the best parrot diets and would love to understand it better, especially in light of the revamped cookbook.

I’d love to capture Moxie’s content baby wing flap and put it on cue, but she often squaks when she does it. Any tips on trying to separate the two behaviors?

How well desensitised is Jinx to human's daily activity ?

I adopted an older African grey recently and she has heart failure and artiosclerosis. Do you have videos about getting her used to vet visits? She's going often (every 3 weeks) to get her meds figured out. One thing the vet asked me to do is give her saline drops in error names. I can wrap a towel around her, but I'm stuck on how to give the drops. I guess I need to tip her backwards to do the drop?

When teaching someone in the outdoor freeflight course, is the bird only ever free flight trained, or can there be other types of training mixed in? Ex. Trick training, towel training, etc. And with free flight training being the main focus, would there even be time for any other training on the side?

I often hear discussion relating to conditioning on the free flight videos to get the birds ready for flight trips. How is that accomplished and more specifically how can that be adapted for indoor flight? Sprite and I have been working hard on recalls, specifically perfect recalls, since the workshop (with great success) but with the goal of stopping at 5 perfect reps, I wonder if she is getting enough “cardio” (flights) in.

Having problems with my conure getting on the floor and biting feet. I have tried putting her in her habitat for a time out but it rarely works. This behavior has always been there but lately it is more frequent. Thanks!

We adopted our blue-headed pionus from a parrot sanctuary. We only know that he was a breeder bird. His age is thought to be 30+. Our bird lives in a large cage in a living room. Whenever I change cloths in a bed room and he sees me after in a different cloths he fluffs up aggressively and it takes him a while to settle down again. Often he attacks his toys. The same goes when my boyfriend dons a ball cup. What causes this behavior ? Thank you !

I recently lost Patches. I say he was the love of my life but in reality he and Piper were cage mates so he was truly the love of hers. My question is would “replacing” him be the right thing to do for her sake? And no there will never be another Patches not for me but what about for her? Sorry I know it looks like two questions but I think it’s just basically the same one asked two different ways.

Thanks for all your questions! We are going to film what has come in and won't be accepting any more submissions until I make this type of post next month. So any comments posted after mine won't be included in this video. Keep it for next month! Thanks everyone!

Help!! I am adopting “rescuing” a 9 year old Goffin cockatoo that has been a plucker since a baby. He has no feathers other than his head. I want to help him! His owner says she doesn’t have time for him. I work from home so I’m hoping giving him lots and lots of attention, lots of toys, a good diets and just some good TLC will help him. Of course he cannot fly bc he doesn’t have feathers but my goal is to teach him to free fly once he is better and give him the best life since he has had a rough go for the first 9 years. Any suggestions, ideas, advice? And this is my first parrot fyi.. not first bird..
