I know I already featured Jinx in a Oh, Flock series... but this is Bubba. I actually don't know if I can recall ever "reversing" a hormonal trigger before but it's something I will be experimenting with in the future for sure.

So it doesn't trigger the hormones because you are not patting his head?

Leia Gibson

His Valley Girl sounding "Okay" cracks me UP every single time!

BirdTricks

Not so much that, it's because I paired it/associated it with training mode instead of being in a hormonal emotional state. More like NLP.

He’s so adorable. I wish I had a blue and gold! Yeah jinx/bubba.❤️

Chelsea Lang

Man I love this bird.😂❤️

Diane

Jinx, what a character! 😅

Jennifer Percopo

I can listen to that Bububububububba all day, he’s too freakin cute!! Question on the wing flap, could that be hormonal (not for Jinx, he’s obviously not hormonal here) but I think our GCC is still RAGING and does those weird wing flaps when she’s trying to “cuddle” 🙄

Such a cutie and so cool you were able to reshape the behavior! My amazon (11th months old) is starting to say words, but I haven't been able to get any on command yet. When I was chopping up some veggies the other day he said "Whatcha doin'?" out of the blue!

Tempie Elder

Perfect timing. I’ll try this tomorrow.

Patricia Lynn

I love that so much. I love his random 'OK' too.

BirdTricks

Yes, if it becomes kind of vibrational where it is frequent and in a pattern really close together then yeah it can get hormonal especially for the smaller birds.

Crystal O'Kelly

That is awesome that has become a non-trigger.
