The next couple of events will be world building and reflections from some of the girls. I still consider the story to haven't actually started yet, its still in the the setup phase (A really long setup I know T-T).
My original idea was to have the entire game in the MC's perspective after the setup is done. Right now, you as the player see everything, from what everyone is thinking to what they are doing even when the MC isn't around (Lex at work for example). This was not my original intention, but it allowed me to explore and expand the world way faster than if I focused only on what the MC can experience.
I'm still deciding on what direction to take it. For now, I have a bunch of scenes without the MC there in mind (Lex work pressures, Evie and her friends, etc.); that will eventually tie back to the MC. Why bring this up? Its a matter of impact. Take Jex for example, would it have been better that the first introduction to her was the hospital scene? You never saw her trying to seduce Evie or be hired by Miriel (the cop). You would experience meeting her the same way the MC did, not knowing anything but inferring and piecing things together from what she says and her appearance. What if I took it a step further and don't even show you her inner thoughts? You have to read her mood from her body language and facial expressions alone. If you've noticed, almost every line has its own render; even for scenes with just dialog and no "action". That's because I'm trying to convey feelings though shifts in each character' like the way the put there head down, or pull their shoulders i when they're scared.
On the other hand, its super fun writing their inner thoughts. I have allot of fun writing Luna's lust fueled spirals and Lex's corporate shark rants.
Long story short, writing is hard....
