It's done! This post was a major breather for me, it was nice to pay tribute to Smugbluefaun, it made the whole project a lot easier. As I've referenced in the past, some big changes are coming in the near future, so that may sacrifice the post on the 16th in favor of those changes. I'm doing a major art-direction shift (most notably for the trainers) that will take some time to produce. Once I have some beta models done, I plan to host a poll for you folks to determine if the change is wanted or not. This will hopefully be a bright new era for the content, making it both faster to produce and higher quality! I'll be sure to keep you all updated as major changes come and go, and I once again thank you from the bottom of my heart for sticking with me through this time!

With love, Juniah ❤️❤️❤️

Do you plan to release models? 🥺

JuniahHazel

That's a bit of a tricky question, as my production pipeline is segmented into several parts. This, in turn, means that my models, when they are their most useful (I'm assuming you would want them in blender), are missing a lot of features (textures, hair, clothes, etc). I do my clothing, rendering, and hair in different programs. If there is a high enough demand, or if folks are ok with the models missing parts, I'd definitely consider releasing them!

I'd be fine with whatever! I am always curious, what is the pipeline?

It's super convoluted, but I'll try and keep it a little organized. I do my animation, rigging, and jiggle physics in Blender. For my cloth, I use Marvelous Designer (sylvies feelers are MD as well). I use Liquigen for my fluid, but it's a bit buggy and hard to work with. When a character needs to be sculpted, I go to Zbrush. I make my hair in Maya using Xgen, and once everything is done it gets sent to Unreal engine for rendering. When the models leave blender, they're exported as .ABC, so once their hair and clothes are applied, they can't really be interacted with. This is a big reason the models aren't available, since when they can actually be used, they don't have their hair, clothes, or textures. At this time, the models are also horrifically optimized and are about to undergo a massive style change. This is part of the reason more BTS posts don't get made, since the process is so disjointed. I'm trying to find a way to make BTS posts more interesting, but it's still a work in progress!
