Chapter 68 (Patreon)

The Domain shattered.
For a moment, everything went silent.
Ragnar Kagenou stood upon the scorched earth, his golden armor still shining beneath the smoke and drifting sparks.
“…It’s over.”
At some point, rain had begun to fall.
Geto Suguru stood beneath it, letting the cold drops soak through his tattered clothes. His shoulders trembled faintly.
“Over?”
He covered his face with one hand. His eyes were bloodshot, and a broken laugh slipped through his fingers.
“No…”
His voice was low.
“It’s not over yet.”
As long as he used that Cursed Spirit…
Everyone would die.
This world would be crushed beneath its weight.
Drip.
Fresh blood fell from Geto’s palm.
“Feel it properly, Ragnar Kagenou.”
His smile twisted.
“This is the strongest Special Grade Cursed Spirit I’ve ever collected.”
A Special Grade Sorcerer was called Special Grade because they possessed enough power to overthrow a nation alone.
In that same sense, Geto Suguru, as a Special Grade Curse User, also possessed power capable of destroying a country.
“Destroy everything…”
His blood splashed against the ground.
“Yamata no Orochi.”
The moment the crimson drops touched the earth, purple ripples spread outward.
The ground shook violently.
Dense purple Cursed Energy swallowed Jujutsu High in an instant, and a chilling pressure wrapped around Ragnar.
“Yamata no Orochi?”
Geto’s grin widened.
“That’s right. The legendary monster.”
His voice was calm, but there was something rotten beneath it.
“Of course, the original was slain long ago. What remains now is only the resentment left after death.”
“A Special Grade Imaginary Vengeful Spirit.”
Beneath Geto’s feet, a massive purple serpent head broke through the earth.
Then another.
And another.
One after another, eight gigantic heads rose from underground.
Yamata no Orochi.
Eight heads. Eight tails.
Its heads resembled dragons. Its eyes burned a deep, poisonous red. Moss and trees clung to its back, while its abdomen was rotten, split open, and dripping with blood. Dark clouds of many colors drifted above it, and its enormous body stretched across the mountains like eight peaks and eight valleys twisted together.
At that moment, Yamata no Orochi coiled around the barrier surrounding Jujutsu High.
Geto sat cross-legged atop the central head, resting his cheek against one hand.
“I didn’t want to go this far.”
His eyes lowered slightly.
“I don’t care how many monkeys die. But with this thing out, even many Jujutsu Sorcerers will be dragged down with them.”
High above, Ragnar sat upon the Vimana and looked down at the colossal serpent coiled through the mountains.
Then he spoke, his tone almost indifferent.
“Geto.”
Geto raised his eyes.
“What made you think a beast crawling on the ground could overturn the sky?”
Geto did not answer immediately.
At this point, whether he won or lost no longer mattered.
He had already played every card he had.
Ragnar looked at him quietly.
“So that’s it. Your last trump card is an eight-headed snake.”
A faint smile touched his lips.
“I told you, didn’t I? I’d show you that the gap between Jujutsu Sorcerers and ordinary humans isn’t as absolute as you believe.”
Geto finally responded.
“That may be true.”
His gaze sharpened.
“But your existence proves something else.”
Ragnar watched him silently.
Geto’s voice grew colder.
“The peak of Jujutsu Sorcery is what monkeys call a god.”
Rain slid down his face.
“The stronger you are, the clearer it becomes. The distance between monkeys and Jujutsu Sorcerers is something they can never cross.”
Ragnar’s expression did not change.
“So you still think I’m standing inside your little framework.”
Geto narrowed his eyes.
“Open your eyes and watch carefully.”
Golden light began to rise from Ragnar’s body.
“Jujutsu Sorcerers. Cursed Spirits. Gods. Monsters.”
His voice was calm.
“Before me, they are all equally mortal.”
High in the sky, a golden cross of light bloomed.
“This is the Chains of Heaven.”
The light spread wider.
“Using it on a reptile carrying a trace of divinity should be an honor.”
Golden radiance poured down over the earth.
“At this moment, its true name shall be revealed here.”
Below, every person in Tokyo could see it.
A light like the sun hanging in the sky.
“What awakens is the Breath of the Star.”
Geto looked up from beneath the light.
For the first time, he felt as though he were staring at a sky he could never reach.
“I walk beside humanity.”
The ground was dyed gold.
Ripples of light spread across the battlefield, and countless golden chains emerged from them.
Geto’s eyes widened.
The Chains of Heaven rose from every direction, gathering toward the sky before fusing into a single, colossal chain.
“Therefore…”
Ragnar raised his hand.
“O humanity, let us bind the gods.”
The golden chain descended.
It slammed into Yamata no Orochi with overwhelming force.
Purple poisonous blood exploded across the mountains. Toxic mist rose into the rain as the beast’s eight heads screamed at once.
“————!!!”
Yamata no Orochi thrashed violently.
It wanted to charge forward.
It wanted to tear Ragnar apart.
But the Chains of Heaven had already bound it.
The more divine mystery it possessed, the tighter those chains became.
There was no escape.
Ragnar looked down at the struggling serpent.
“It wasn’t a bad final act.”
His tone remained steady.
“But if we’re ending this, then it should at least be solemn.”
He extended his hand.
“Geto Suguru.”
Light gathered in his palm.
“Burn this into your soul.”
The Holy Spear, Rhongomyniad, appeared in Ragnar’s grasp, woven from pure radiance.
“Unveil the surface of the world.”
Golden lines spread across the spear.
“And reveal the truth.”
His eyes were cold.
“Holy Spear—anchor release.”
The spear shone brighter.
“It is the anchor of the storm that tears the sky and connects the earth.”
Rhongomyniad transformed into a pillar of light.
It descended toward the ground and connected heaven and earth in a single radiant line.
“Light emitted from the ends of the world.”
Ragnar’s voice remained terrifyingly calm.
“The Spear That Shines to the Ends of the World.”
Not far away, Gojo Satoru looked up.
Through his Six Eyes, he saw everything.
The flow of power.
The structure of the light.
The sheer absurdity of what had been brought into the world.
For once, even Gojo fell silent.
Across Tokyo, the Jujutsu Sorcerers still fighting Cursed Spirits—Nanami Kento, Mei Mei, Ui Ui, Kusakabe Atsuya, Ieiri Shoko, Principal Yaga, and the others—stopped moving one after another.
The light of dawn tore through the dark clouds.
A destructive brilliance spread across the earth, beautiful and merciless, like divine punishment descending upon humanity.
Geto looked up at the tip of the spear of light hanging above him.
Under that overwhelming power, his Cursed Spirit Manipulation felt unbearably small.
Like a firefly flickering beneath the sun.
His lips moved faintly.
“This kind of power…”
His voice was almost drowned out by the rain.
“Can anything living on this earth really oppose it?”

Noble Phantasm: The Spear That Shines to the Ends of the World
Rank: A++
Type: Anti-Fortress Noble Phantasm
Description:
The Holy Spear held by the Lion King, Artoria Pendragon.
The Anchor of the Storm that binds the stars.
Its true form is said to be the tower that binds the surface of the world, and its rank and classification change upon the release of its true name.
Although its original power is restricted by the Thirteen Restraints, it remains the spear that reaches the farthest, shining as it sings the light of the stars.
The Holy Spear—Rhongomyniad—takes the “Pillar of Light” that maintains the surface of the world as its true body.
Due to the existence of the Thirteen Restraints, which follow the same procedure as the “Holy Sword of the Planet That Saves the World,” it barely maintains its form as a Noble Phantasm.
