Chapter 132 (Patreon)

“Even Tengen’s empty barrier is a pain to deal with.”
Ragnar Kagenou deployed his Noble Phantasm within Tengen’s empty barrier, forcibly wresting control of half the space for himself.
“Rika, go after Mahito. I’ll open a path for you.”
“Understood,” Rika Orimoto replied. “This time, I’ll make sure he dies.”
The buildings across Shibuya began to shift. Streets twisted, structures moved aside, and a direct path opened toward Mahito’s location.
“Yuta,” Ragnar said through the earpiece. “Something’s come up on your side. Take care of it.”
“A problem?” Yuta Okkotsu asked.
Ragnar raised his gaze toward the top of Shibuya C Tower.
“A dead man’s soul has returned. He’s at C Tower.”
Yuta did not know whose soul Ragnar was referring to, but he answered without hesitation.
“Understood.”
As for Jogo...
He would not be leaving Shibuya alive.
———
Bang!
Satoru Gojo seized Kenjaku by the shoulder and drove two crushing punches into him.
Kenjaku had no way to retaliate. Any attack he launched would simply come to a halt before reaching Gojo, stopped by the Infinity separating them.
“Tch. What an irritating technique.”
Kenjaku slipped past Gojo’s next punch and prepared to activate his Cursed Technique.
“Cursed Technique Reversal: Red!”
Crimson light erupted directly before Kenjaku’s eyes.
Boom!
“Cursed Technique Reversal: Gravity!”
An overwhelming gravitational force crashed down upon the area. The entire high-rise building collapsed in an instant, its floors folding beneath the pressure.
Gojo teleported clear of the structure before it could bury him beneath the rubble.
“You destroyed the entire battlefield just to avoid that attack?”
Whoosh!
Something tore through the cloud of smoke and dust.
It was not Kenjaku.
A Special Grade Cursed Spirit lunged toward Gojo—Kurourushi.
“Hm?”
Gojo’s eyes narrowed slightly.
“A Special Grade that isn’t in Tokyo Jujutsu High’s records?”
Clang!
Kurourushi swung its cleaver-like weapon at Gojo. It was the Festering Life Sword, a grotesque cursed tool forged from the boundary between life and death.
Boom!
Before Gojo could examine it further, a wave of scorching flames erupted from the smoke behind him.
“That thing is... a Kasha?”
A blazing wooden wheel emerged from the haze. A human head sat embedded at its centre while flames roared along its outer rim.
It appeared Kenjaku had collected quite a few cursed spirits during his preparations.
“You’re underestimating me, Kenjaku.”
Gojo activated Cursed Technique Lapse: Blue and vanished.
He reappeared behind the Kasha, seized the burning wheel with one hand, and hurled it directly at Kurourushi.
A black arc flashed through the air.
Slash!
Kurourushi’s blade cleaved the Kasha apart in an instant.
“That sword looks pretty interesting.”
Shhk!
The Festering Life Sword swept horizontally toward him, but Gojo caught the blade with one hand.
“Too slow.”
Bang!
Kurourushi was blasted backwards. A massive wound split open across its chest as it crashed through the rubble.
Hum!
An immense gravitational force suddenly pressed down upon Gojo.
“Domain Expansion—Womb Profusion!”
A grotesque black tree erupted from the ruins, its twisted branches bearing human heads like rotten fruit.
Kenjaku walked toward Gojo as the crushing gravity forced him down.
“It appears I’ve won again, bearer of the Six Eyes.”
Gojo looked up at him.
“You? Won?”
Kenjaku produced the Prison Realm.
“A sorcerer can ordinarily only expand their domain once per day. You wasted your ultimate technique on my decoy. That was a poor decision.”
He held the Prison Realm before him.
“But don’t worry. I have no intention of killing you.”
Killing the bearer of the Six Eyes would accomplish nothing. In time, another person possessing the Six Eyes would simply be born.
To prevent that, Kenjaku needed to seal Satoru Gojo inside the Prison Realm.
As Kenjaku approached, however, the corners of Gojo’s mouth curved into a faint smile.
“Domain Expansion...”
“What?!”
Kenjaku froze.
Most jujutsu sorcerers could only perform Domain Expansion once a day, but the man standing before him was no ordinary sorcerer.
What should he do?
Should he retreat?
Yet if Gojo was bluffing, pulling back would give him the perfect opportunity to escape.
That was the weakness of an open-barrier domain. Its effective diameter was only three to four hundred metres, leaving Gojo more than capable of escaping its range.
In that split second, Kenjaku made his choice—
———
Shibuya C Tower
Ogami was preparing to use her Séance Technique on her grandson.
“Grandson.”
“I understand, Grandma.”
Jiro Awasaka stepped toward the edge of the tower.
“I’ll head down first and deal with those jujutsu sorcerers.”
With that, he leapt directly from C Tower.
The four-layer Curtain covering Shibuya had already been destroyed by Ragnar Kagenou. There was no longer anything preventing them from moving freely.
Ogami finished her preparations.
“It’s ready.”
“I know, Grandma.”
Her grandson picked up the cursed object required for the séance and swallowed it.
Ogami pressed her hands together and began the invocation.
“Toji Zenin.”
The body information of Toji Zenin descended into her grandson’s flesh.
“How does it feel?”
The man inhabiting the body opened his eyes.
“Never felt better.”
In that moment, Toji Fushiguro returned to the world of the living.
As for Ogami’s grandson, his soul had already been completely overwhelmed.
“Go down there,” Ogami ordered. “Kill every one of those troublesome jujutsu sorcerers.”
“...”
Ogami stared at him in confusion.
“Grandson?”
Toji slowly turned his head toward her.
“Old hag... who said you could order me around?”
Ogami immediately put distance between them.
“What is happening? I only summoned the body’s information. I never brought back the soul!”
“So that’s how it works.”
Toji glanced down at his borrowed body.
“I don’t understand all the details, but it looks like the brat’s soul wasn’t strong enough to suppress this body.”
“That’s impossible!”
Ogami’s expression twisted in horror.
“The soul lost to the body?!”
It was precisely to prevent something like this that Ogami never summoned a corpse’s soul information.
Yet even without the soul, Toji’s body had overwhelmed the host.
It was the worst possible outcome.
Toji thought for a moment.
“You wanted to kill jujutsu sorcerers, right?”
He disappeared from Ogami’s sight.
Bang!
His fist crushed her head in a single blow.
“You’re a jujutsu sorcerer too, aren’t you?”
Splat.
———
“A curse user?”
Yuta Okkotsu stood before Jiro Awasaka.
“Kid, it’s been a long time since I’ve tasted blood,” Awasaka said with absolute confidence. “Blame your own bad luck for running into me.”
Yuta placed a hand on the hilt of his katana.
“Looks like I’ll have to deal with you first.”
The moment those words left his mouth, Yuta appeared directly in front of Awasaka.
He’s fast!
Awasaka’s eyes widened.
I couldn’t track his movement at all—
“Gah!”
Bang!
Awasaka was launched into a billboard, his body sinking deep into the metal surface.
Yuta turned and began to leave.
Awasaka suddenly appeared behind him.
“Useless.”
His innate Cursed Technique was Inverse.
When activated, it reversed the strength of incoming attacks. Powerful attacks became weak, while weaker attacks became devastatingly strong.
“Inverse?”
Yuta glanced back at him.
“That’s an interesting Cursed Technique.”
He copied it immediately.
Awasaka stared at him in disbelief.
They had only exchanged a single blow. How had Yuta already discovered the nature of his technique?
“Sorry,” Yuta said. “I’m in a hurry, so I’ll finish this with one strike.”
He drew his katana.
The instant the blade left its sheath, a suffocating sense of danger filled the surrounding space.
“Kid! Don’t get arrogant—”
Thud.
Jiro Awasaka’s severed head struck the ground.
His body remained standing for a brief moment before collapsing beside it.
