“This world is... enormous.”
Hinata remained silent for several minutes before her awareness returned to her surroundings. Shock was still written across her face.
Hanabi looked up at her curiously.
“Sister, what did you see?”
“We can discuss it later. Let’s leave this place first.”
Mihawk spoke before Hinata could answer.
“Yes.”
Hinata had been about to report everything she had learned, but she stopped and nodded.
Hanabi and Saeko set aside their questions for the moment and followed Mihawk.
Behind them, Nami collapsed onto the road, unconscious like the villagers around her.
Having her memories copied had left her mentally exhausted. She would need some time to recover.
As the four walked away from the village, Hinata began explaining what she had learned.
“This world is mostly ocean, with islands scattered throughout it. There are four major seas, along with the Grand Line, which people call the ‘pirate graveyard.’”
Walking beside Mihawk, she continued describing the world and its major powers.
“The largest organization is the World Government. More than a hundred and seventy countries are affiliated with it.”
“There are several organizations under its authority. The best known is the Marines, who maintain order on the seas. Pirates are also extremely common.”
“More than twenty years ago, a man known as the King of the Pirates made an announcement just before his execution. His final words caused the number of pirates to increase dramatically.”
“Countless people now dream of entering the Grand Line and finding the great treasure he left behind...”
Mihawk and the others listened as they continued along the road.
Saeko looked thoughtful.
First, she had left her modern world for the shinobi world where her teacher lived. Now she had entered yet another world with its own extraordinary creatures and powers.
Hanabi let out a quiet sound of amazement.
Until now, her understanding of the world had centered on the Five Great Shinobi Countries. Having grown up in Konoha, the strongest of their villages, she had never imagined an organization with more than a hundred and seventy countries under its authority.
The World Government sounded unimaginably vast.
For the first time, Hanabi began to appreciate the scale of the world they had entered.
Even Hinata remained visibly astonished as she spoke.
It was difficult to comprehend just how large this world truly was.
However, the information she had obtained from Nami’s memories represented only a small part of it.
East Blue was the weakest of the four seas, and most of its inhabitants knew little about the world beyond it.
To them, the Grand Line was a legendary sea—a graveyard from which countless pirates never returned.
Many did not even know that it was divided into two halves.
The first half, which they regarded with such fear, was known as Paradise to those who sailed the New World.
Mihawk did not correct or expand upon Hinata’s explanation.
For now, he was content to let the three learn about this world a little at a time.
After passing through a forest, they reached a beach.
The sea stretched endlessly before them.
Hanabi listened to the waves breaking against the shore and breathed in the salt carried by the breeze.
Then she turned toward Mihawk.
“Mihawk-nii, if this world is so big and everything is separated by the sea, how are we going to travel? We don’t have a ship, and none of us knows how to sail.”
Hinata stepped forward.
“I should be able to navigate now.”
Hanabi blinked.
“How?”
“The girl from earlier is a navigator,” Hinata explained. “When I examined her memories, I also acquired her knowledge of navigation.”
Saeko stared at her in surprise.
Despite everything she had already witnessed, abilities like this still caught her off guard.
A gentle smile appeared on her face.
“That was fortunate.”
Hanabi tilted her head.
“But what about the ship?”
Hinata and Saeko fell silent for a moment.
Then Hinata looked back toward the island.
“The girl’s companions—the green-haired swordsman and the boy in the straw hat—are pirates. I also saw their ship while examining the area. It’s still on this island.”
She turned toward Mihawk.
“Mihawk-kun, should we take their ship?”
Mihawk shook his head without hesitation.
“No. I’d rather not use someone else’s belongings.”
He glanced down at the beach beneath their feet, then turned to examine the forest behind them.
After considering it for several seconds, he looked at Hinata.
“Hinata, can you use your gravitational power to lift an island?”
Hanabi and Saeko both turned toward her, uncertain where this was going.
Hinata’s eyes brightened.
“Yes. I checked just now. Lifting this island shouldn’t require much effort.”
She paused, then looked at Mihawk with sudden understanding.
“Mihawk-kun, are you planning to...?”
Mihawk nodded.
“If you can move it without consuming too much chakra, we can use this land to travel.”
“We won’t need the entire island.”
He turned toward the forest and indicated the section he wanted with a few gestures.
“We’ll need a house to shelter us from the wind and rain. Take part of the forest so we have room and materials for one, along with this beach.”
“Until we have a ship of our own, we can travel this way. If we find a better island, we can replace this section whenever we like.”
“That’s a great idea!”
Hanabi’s excitement returned immediately.
Hinata smiled and nodded as well.
“All right.”
She brought her hands together with a light clap.
Emerald chakra flowed from her body, quickly enveloping her as she entered Tenseigan Chakra Mode.
Nine green spheres, each roughly the size of a fist, appeared around her.
Whoosh!
Hinata rose into the sky.
From high above the beach, she looked down at the island and raised her right hand.
Six of the nine spheres floating behind her moved toward her wrist, circling it like beads on a bracelet.
“Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion!”
A dazzling golden blade of light shot downward.
BOOM!
It struck the ground below with a thunderous impact.
Standing on the beach, Saeko felt the earth shudder beneath her feet.
An enormous cloud of dust rose from the forest.
She stared up at Hinata, stunned.
Was this the power hidden beneath the gentle, considerate woman she had come to know?
One of Konoha’s three saviors...
Saeko was beginning to understand what that title meant.
The Tenseigan did more than provide extraordinary ways to examine another person’s memories.
Its destructive power surpassed a nuclear weapon.
