Nathan is insecure and like a lot of insecure people he can act inappropriately or lash out. He sees Roy as a threat to his position on the team even though Nathan probably knows more about football than anyone, including Roy.

Roy finding his way back to the love of his life - football...😍 I just loved the many RomCom quotes in this episode. The couple breaking the 4th wall - "When Harry met Sally" "I came here tonight" - "When Harry met Sally" "I'm just a coach, standing in front of a boy" - "Notting Hill" "You complete our team" - "Jerry Maguire" "You had me at 'Coach'" - "Jerry Maguire" "As you wish" - "The Princess Bride" "You want the rest of your life to start..." - When Harry met Sally" The final run to his true love and overcoming obstacles - Pretty much every RomCom ever made...😄 And that are only the ones I've seen...😅 Also, the Higginses are the cutest wholesome couple I've ever seen in a TV-Show...😍

I want to add that Nathans behaviour towards the new kit man is not uncommon for former victims to bullying. As soon as they're not at the bottom of the food chain anymore, they start bullying people they consider weaker than themselves...🤔

My favorite little moments of comedy in this episode: Nate with the door to the restaurant (classic comedy bit, but Nick Mohammed does it well) Roy's face lighting up in the dark like a horror film Keeley's reaction to Rebecca: "Fuck your amazing. Let's invade France." And of course all the little nods to rom-coms This does feel like a turning point for a lot of the characters.

Unfortunately I can't share what I think is going on as I know what happens. I'm just happy that you are enjoying this show this much. It's so good. As a side note" "She's A Rainbow" was the first Stones song that I ever heard. Love it as much today. Anyway, thanks for another fun watch along, Claudie. See ya on the next one. Cheers!

Definitely, the most positive series in the world!!!! Roy Kent's arrival at the stadium has been one of the most epic moments in recent times. I've been excited!!

There were a couple from "Love Actually" and "Sleepless in Seattle" as well IIRC.

Really enjoyed the music from this episode :) Loved it when Roy came back to the pitch! Nathan seems to be changing a bit.

I think if Claudia hasn't seen any of these, they would be worthy films for February reactions.
