He's suave, he's smart and he's broke cause he's not getting hired!

Ben Reilly, is a 1930's New York P.I. by day...

...and a super-powered Spiderman at night when he feels like it!

Enjoy!

Caution: Some graphic gore during a torture near the end, though this is in B&W, and a 15. So not too bad! Just wanted to let you know.

Woo Hoo! Been waiting for this. B&W - yes! The only way to do "noir" (add jazz and coffee or whiskey). This is going to be fun. Thank you, Claudie.

I could be wrong, but it looked like there may have been some vintage film footage cleaned up and used as background. Some of the urban driving scenes with a lot of traffic in the background looked authentic. Very Noir so far. Not quite hard boiled but fun.

Happy you went with the B&W version.

I loved it. Hard-boiled detective stories are fun. I’m glad you’re watching the black & white version

Really enjoyed this! Kinda surprised how much I liked it, was worried it was going to be “too cringey” but thought it went down well

Okay, first of all, I loved this first episode (sometimes it takes me a while to watch it because I always like to watch it in Portuguese first), but here I am. Three things. Firstly, I loved the secretary hahaha Secondly, I loved how the subtitles were timed... they don’t give away the surprises in advance for those reading along; they actually wait for the actor to say it. Perfect haha And thirdly, watching it in black and white makes the gory scenes much easier to watch, haha. The scene where the detective is being questioned would be horrible to watch in color, haha
