Best episode yet!

We meet the new players from the Richmond Women's team, and Rebecca has a tall handsome visitor in town... 😏

Absolutely hilarious!

Also one important note: I have no idea why my hair gets frizzier and frizzier as the episode goes on. We've had rain here for the first time in weeks so it might be that.

I can only apologise, and remind myself next time to wear it up 😂 either way, enjoy the reaction!

That goalie is the anchor of this team their own Mcadoo! Shannon is gonna be like Sam season 1.

I am pretty sure that Alice is jealous on, or in love with Gemma.

Really digging the vibe between Ted, Beard, and Alice. Mae seems especially happy and excited. I wonder if she played in the past without support. Wondering if you recognize Lizzie (Faye Marsay) from anything else? I've only ever seen her play hardcore aggressive characters. I'm looking forward to seeing a softer performance from her. Boots is still funny as hell!

Sorry, I can't watch this video, your poofy hair is throwing me off. (Ha!) /// Ah, the "Lasso Shuffle" /// Oh, so Keeley did get a promotion /// Love how Beard is the "Lasso Translator" for Alice /// Keeley's Legs - just sayin' /// this was a great episode - thanks, Claudie.

Ted 4x3 notes Ted’s officechair sinking is the most relatable thing that has ever happened in the show. Mine did that twice just while watching. The Milk sisters have finally showed up, and Ted didn’t do a single Milk joke. I think he’s grown. They seem to have purchased a new stake in Richmond after selling their old stake in “The Diamond Dogs”. They also appear to have funded the field the ladies are playing on, as it says “Milk Field”. The training building has been renamed. It used to be called “The Rupert Mannion Training Center” and now it’s the “Earl Greyhound Training Center”. There have been no references to Rupert so far. If he does show, I hope the put an in memoriam for Tony Head. Roy’s sister now has a first name: Jenni. It’s listed in the end credits! Maybe it was listed in International Break… I’ll have to check. I get that Baz and Jeremy were being pricks and trying to walk out before the Women’s Team, but I’m disappointed in Paul. I genuinely do not believe Jamie went to Spain because of the Women’s team. He grew too much and cared about Keeley too much to be that much of a prick. I did check, Canary Wharf is about a 90 minute drive from Richmond. I’d be pretty annoyed to have to make that drive too. Even with a driver. So glad Shannon showed for the tryouts. And she’s wearing an Obisanya jersey! The actor who played Maria Rojas is actually Christo Fernandez’s sister. He was apparently there for the filming. It’s a shame they didn’t have Dani there cheering her on. So glad Faye Marsay (Lizzie) is in this. I’ve seen her in so many things: Black Mirror, Doctor Who, and Andor. Dani taught Maria “software engineering”. Does Dani seem like he does software engineering? Doesn’t that involve sitting still for more than a few minutes at a time? Lizzie shutting the twins up was welcome. They have been a little one note so far. Rebecca asking if Pinter and Sons was at all related to Harold Pinter, only to have her stare silently for like 10 seconds was a really subtle joke. Pinter’s plays were often noted as having long dramatic pauses. I didn’t catch it the first run through, but it was pointed out to me on Threads, so I shall point it out here. Ted bringing on Shannon over Beard and Alice’s objections is so Ted. He believes in her. I’ll bet she comes in clutch sometime this season. “I was wrong about Brexit” cracked me up. Love Mae’s excitement for the Women’s Team. Yet another shitty Derek. Fucking hate Derek. I don’t think I’ve seen Keeley this defeated, even when Jack shut down KJPR. Roy can be downright sweet sometimes, getting Phoebe and her friends to help with the kit problem. So glad to see Barbara again. I was worried that Katy Wix might not have been available. She’s a busy lady. Gemma’s leg jiggling is the second most relatable thing in the episode. I’m constantly being told off for it. “The Jones Report” is the 3rd most relatable thing in the episode, for my surname is Jones, and that is what my report would say. I think Lizzie will be the team captain.

I have to say I enjoyed watching this with your commentary and reactions far more than I did when I first watched it alone. Interesting.
