Rebecca says no a lot actually the conversation with each other was them coming to a balance. Rebecca keeps them on the straight and narrow Keeley keeps them motivated push each other to the goal.

This is the best season 4 episode for me. Glad I watched with you before watching it alone. See you a few days for Silo!!!

Subscribed to your patreon just to be able to watch today. It was me that pointed out the lack of information on Jane and Beards baby on your 4x2 breakdown video! Had no idea we'd start getting info pouring out already. Great reaction to a great episode!

Episode 4 notes Just to start off… I really loved this episode. First real classic of Season 4. This episode is directed by Ellie Heydon, who is married to Phil Dunster! Trent! Dr Sharon! Trent’s a Podcaster, and Sharon’s a professor now! Beard is reading Soccer Women by Gemma Clarke. Ted’s Chair is doing what mine does again. Boots asked 2 episodes ago if she could drill holes in her locker. It doesn’t seem she did. I guess Ted telling her that she could made her not want to. I am glad Ted doesn’t know Harry Potter, but I like the Ferris Bueller translation. I can’t believe Tracey Ullman is here. I have loved her since the Tracey Ullman show in the 80s. She gave us the Simpsons! It makes so much sense that Keeley would be wowed by her. First even oblique reference to Rupert, and Rebecca doesn’t care. Good. Glad to see she’s moved on. Alice is really starting to learn the vibe of Ted and Beard. They’ve definitely redone these halls. More red, and items on display. Higgins being a gooseberry is hilarious. Catch on, Higgins. I’m a Keeley/Roy are Endgame kind of person, but I think Keeley is right. Roy needs to have another actual relationship before he’s in the same place as Keeley. I would love to do that Pub Quiz. It seems fun. I wonder if the Prince’s Head actually does one? Sharon watches movies on her phone, which is very on brand for her. When Ted said “common enemy”, I was worried we’d see Led Tasso again. Roy trying to speed date his way his way past the 10 dates just shows how much Keeley was right. And he’s at Bones & Honey again. Higgins is now designated gooseberry whether he wants to be or not. How do you threaten with butter knives. Was she going to spread him to death? Again with the Dereks… I really think Lizzie is going to be Captain. I wonder how many kids she has one. I’m liking Alice more and more every episode. She’s caught on to Ted and Beard’s vibe, and has taken charge in places. Boots is bonkers. I don’t get the Beach Boys question. Is it connected to riding coattails? The Keeley/Rebecca friendship is genuinely one of my favorite tv friendships. “If I were a Richmond” and “Flying Coach” are great team names. I don’t know what the conspiracy theory they are talking about with the jumper and the burned hand. I can understand why Alice would feel sorry for Ferris Bueller’s sister, but I always felt she made most of her own problems. Stop worrying about what her brother is doing or getting away with, and just do you. Beard has gone all Cameron Frye. I hate when I get a serious head pineapple. For the record, Gemma didn’t give her any answers. She just encouraged her. Roy’s sister seems to have two great loves: Phoebe, and tormenting Roy. Roy still wearing the sparkly socks Phoebe gave him. The main Brian from the group of Brians messing with Gemma legit needed a head butting. Maybe not a beer bottle over the head, which could have killed him. I genuinely think she would not have gotten out of legal trouble there. Kenneth the Busdriver is back, and messing with pyrotechnics. I’m not sure a purveyor of psychedelics should be handling explosives. I knew the first 2 pub quiz answers, but I was lost on that last one. I have no knowledge of Good Night Moon. Yeah, Roy is going to fall for this doctor lady. I wouldn’t mess with Lizzie. She has friends everywhere. Loving the Ferris Bueller of this, but man… this is really skewing Gen X. Aimed right at my demographic. So, Jane is starring in a play, because she’s fucking toxic, and has to keep hurting Beard, and it’s called “Whatever Happened to the Baby, Jane”, which is a reference to the film “Whatever Happened to Baby Jane?” Are they going to drip feed us this over the whole season, or are they just never going to let us know. Ted is so pleased his evil plan worked. Beard, you do not need coke… The article about the team getting arrested was written by Ernie Lounds, who badgered Rebecca about “latest Rupert Girl” back in early season 1. I probably wouldn’t want to know Boots in person, because she’s frankly terrifying, but she’s a very fun character. Alice being off on her own in the jail cell, and standing off from the photo… she is very like me. I’m like that at work. I keep myself to myself, and don’t inflict my company on anyone that doesn’t specifically reach out to request it. I hope Alice does find a way to bond.

I'm with Ted on this one, I understood the Ferris Bueller analogy better than the Potter (no problem with it, just haven't read/watched) \\\ Oh, slight change-up on the "Lasso-Shuffle" nice /// cringing so hard /// I've had several head-pineapples /// "That's right, we bad" ("Stir Crazy" movie reference) /// Hmmm, on the fence with the Zelda character. /// Roy needs to go back to the bartender (IMO) /// Had a blast. Look forward to the next one. Thanks, Claudie.

Alice doesn't like Ferris Bueller's Day Off bc she feels bad for the sister. The sister does everything right and nobody seems to notice because all the glory goes to her brother, who is a charismantic God Tier goof-off. Not to mention she ends up having to deal with the police at the end due to an assault on the principal brought about by his obsession with Ferris. Maybe that sheds a little light on Alice?

I really loved this episode and all the chaotic events in it. Also it is still funny to see the generational gap between Alice and Ted regarding references. I am happy I understood both the Harry Potter and the Ferris Bueller ones, although there were a lot of references to the latter one, later in the episode. I especially liked the call back to the music in the prison scene. Maybe I am looking in to this too much, but when I heard Zelda saying 'I have many names', I directly thought of this as a quote of Sauron in the Lord of the Rings spin off show, Rings of Power. Maybe she is the 'devil in disguise'?

O-Town Bear

Not to mention, saves Ferris at the end...but I agree with Charlie Sheen (never thought those words would ever leave my mouth - Ha!) and what he says to her at the police station.

The book he was reading tells some of it
