The jacket falls open one gold button at a time as Makina sinks back into the plum leather beside the pole, arms raised behind her head like she has already decided how the rest of the shift goes. Her tie hangs loose around an unbuttoned collar, the white shirt beneath gaping just enough to hint at what the uniform kept hidden all night. She tips her chin toward the light, lips parted, the warden's composure slipping into something hungrier and less patient.
